You did miss a good accessible 3* weapon in xiao team that being TTDS it competes with Sig with lower ER reqs also the nerf wasn't really a nerf the grouping poise from XY's passive was fairly weak iirc it was you can only group hilichurl level of poise and with running xiao anyways xiao has a higher level of poise damage so with that in mind lets say ur fighting 2 kairagis XY's grouping does nothing with Xiao's stagger damage its a nice small buff to multi wave content but tho it kinda contradicts her A4 passive.

Honestly while I get that some people are disappointed im excited. I like the idea of trying iut a whole new plunge attack style with different characters, seeing what can happen. I tend to like niche options, and i think she'll provide plenty of fun in her own way. She won't be a new meta defining character but I still think she'll be good fun!
No, they didn't. Because they made Cloud Retainer exactly Jean with buffing plunges, so in many situations she is not worth pulling. Both of these women don't have crowd control, their healing is similar and not all characters can realize the whole Xianyun potential

Like we never had such one until now. She literally slays with her words. Eg: in one conversation, she reacted to xavier saying: ugh eww ugh🗿 she's totally Down to her business not caring any f*ing thing
If she's just a better Version of Jean then she's an easy skip 💀 altho I heard she's gonna receive some buffs cuz it disappointed some of the beta testers.

U see Furina burst lasts for 18 secs. so u really wanna generate ur fanfare as quickly as possible and when playing Jean u get that massive burst heal that heals all ur team to top health from 50% or so, instantly giving u max fanfare so comparing that to Xianyun IDK just looking at it it appears a downgrade tho she does have continuous healing which has a higher multiplier than Jean's which again it needs to be seen in game how effective it actually is with c0 Furina, her grouping is non-existent and she has a buff that I don't care about I don't have Xiao or Hu Tao and I have no plan on leveling up my Diluc and I don't think Yoimiya and Lyney would work so U see unless I see her working with c0 Furina perfectly in the game for now I am gonna assume that in healing department she is a downgrade to Jean.

There's one thing you seem to be missing, which is that the plunge attack cap of 9000 can indeed multiply with other amplifying effects like attack buffs and reactions, so the damage can exceed that cap by a fair bit. At least, this is what I've been told by data miners on twitter
Yeah, but people dont know that. The plung buff its actually extremely broken, thats why they limit it to 1 target only because the damage is soo high. Like just imagine a xianyun with that 9000 cap. A character like dilluc that gets 90% pyro bonus damage (from artifact, set and his passive) means that damage goes to 17100, mulitplied per 200% crit damage which already is 51300 if u vape it the damage gets 50% more damage (with EM its more of course) so its 76950, real damage its on the half of that aproximately so it would be around 38K bonus damage per crit plunge, in my opinion its a huge bonus. Maybe im wrong and reactions dont multiply that damage, but even if it dont 25K damage that does without reaction its pretty good. These are fictious numbers tho because common people wont have 5K attack xd. Around 3K is the standard that is 5700 flat damage and doing the first calculation with vaporize reaction is 17K that for a casual is not a bad number. And we have to take in count that this is only counting Xianyun and Dilluc without any other buffs like a Furina ultimate or even Viridescent Venerer

I really don't get the weapon ranking her signature aside how is oathsworn worst than fav and atlas Fav have less base attack and same amount of er cuz how are you gona proc fav if you're building atk and er in the substats and if you use a crit circle then it's just even worst For atlas good luck getting 200 er
I too, a 100% believe Oathsworn is at least top 3, just simply because 1- Favonius Codex's passive sacrafices so much ATK just for the sake of the passive. 2- an R5 codex's passive is wasted on her due to the plunge users' rotations being too long. 3- Oathsworn offers more ATK and same ER% (10 sec of 48% at R5 after using skill) and relieves you of the need to build crit. Unless somehow you have a cracked set with lots of Crit substats for Xianyun, then there's no need for the Fav Codex with the R5 Oathsworn around.
(Now that I'm thinking about why he put Favonius Codex way above Oathsworn is perhaps he's counting the fact that she's more likely to get Xiao back in his burst quickly which, mathematically speaking, will compensate for the missing ATK she lost for a Crit Rate circlet)

No circle impact. I hate it when the enemies move away from Jeans AoE. I then have to pursue them outside of the AoE which makes Jeans burst aoe useless.
I don't know why you would pull for her just to replace Jean when she does something completely different.. she's not just a healer but a plunge buffer.. meaning that's her niche.. if you don't want to plunge and just wants a Jean replacement then you're getting her for the wrong reasons..

Nah she's very good in her niche (plunge attacks), it's just that people are trying to force her out of it and play her in other teams and obviously she'll underperform if not played as intended. Dehya is bad bc of scalings, CR is fine in that regard

Right now her only actual meta use is to be a burning aura enabler for units like Ganyu, Wriothsley and Neuvillette, and that is mostly because XL is more valuable elsewhere/only 5 people built Thoma. Only way I see Dehya being actually useful the way she is if they made a unit with stacking teamwide bennett atk buff that gains stacks whenever teammate takes damage. Dehya's dmg redirection would be the only way (at least currently) in the game to stack this buff quickly since Fontaine characters' hp draining mechanic does not count as taking dmg.

If you don’t have Jean then Xianyun is a no brainer pull. Only two things about her have changed and one of them was a buff. Her tap skill now gives the same particles as her Triple E skill so you only have to do it once to get 5 particles which is a buff. The only thing removed was her grouping which was replaced by a subpar 4/6/8/10 crit rate. But her grouping didn’t stagger or linger anyway so it’s not that big of a loss at all. She still does aoe anemo dmg a teamwide heal on ult cast and teamwide heals over time (which Jean doesn’t have) so I’d get her.

IMO, buffs to specific types of attacks like normal/charged/plunged/skill/ultimate should be something done on relic sets, not on character kits. You try putting it on a character and you end up with a yun jin or shenhe, and those characters see pretty much no use at all in most endgame situations.
to be fair, at this point, Genshin does need to release more niche supports for all types of teams. people who have Genshin as their first gacha don't know that most gacha games will release more team-locked units 2-3 years into their gacha life. HSR will be the same eventually.

I know this is pre release analysis which we now know is invalid, but why does every CC's char analysis sounds like they copies each others homework, copy pasted from the same source. Making mistake is normal but you all make the same mistake in the very same point. this does not only happen to new chars like Xianyun, but also old chars like Beidou.

Shenhe can turn even cryo healers into dps characters. Xianyun's new passive is the same as Mika's, but adds crit rate for plunges instead of physical damage, so that means you will realize it fully only if there are 4 enemies on the field. On bosses you will get only 4% crit rate, not 10%, which is so low. That is the actual reason to be disappointed in her

How is field time at all similar to Raiden at c1? Xianyun doesn’t need to cast her skill 3 times for it to generate energy. Using her E and plunging will take similar amount of time as a kazuha hold E. Her burst duration also isn’t very long so I don’t see how she’d take that much time at C1

issue being Hutao doesn't want healing...and that I'm aware. And according to leaked info her healing only triggers to the one on feild .So if she replaces Jean? I'm not so sure
@@yourworstnightmare1950 the Furina buff is so good that it basically doesn't care about HT's passive. Xianyun also makes HT's ceiling higher because plunge damage is just so strong. Also all of Xianyun's healing is teamwide.

Would be fine if most of her team weren't just sidegrade or downgrade of previous team. Shes a downgrade for Wrio, Charlotte, Hu Tao, Klee and Yanfei. Shes a sidegrade for Chong and Bennett (after better calcs). Shes an upgrade for Xiao, Gaming and Diluc and thats it. For Diluc and Gaming specifically with Furina only due to inability to double swirl with her. In Melt formation Kazuha is just as good for them.
But she's not supposed to be a universal support.. she's a niche support who's the best at her niche.. just like how jean is a mediocre support but is very good when paired with Furina..

Well Charlotte is a support for one but as a Chongyun main I don’t see a world where she’s a sidegrade I need to see the calcs for this. The Hu Tao calcs I’ve seen have also put Furina Xianyun teams higher than her teams with Furina Jean because the extra Plunge dmg is just nice free dmg without losing anything by swapping Jean.
Hoyo is THE WORST company for ruining the greatest character like her by doing this kit for her..Like how could they do this??? Why make her not just a support but a support unusable for so many dps characters, Such a waste such a dissapointment
its still a good c1 even on a plunge team, no stamina consumption is incredibly useful for repositioning, and outside of this one team its still hu tao c1...aka a very good dps increase on every other hu tao team
I'm kind of annoyed that any new anemo comes out their go-to is VV. There needs to be more (good) anemo sets to make me question whether VV is worth it for a specific character

@@putent9623 this is b4 the current v4 changes but the current changes dont really change the outcome of this. If anything it makes it more apparent. (After the very 1st rotation) Jean: All your characters are starting at 50% HP. Her initial burst heals for about 20k per unit. Non hp scalers have about 18k-22k total HP and HP scalers have about 35k-40k total HP. 50% HP of a HP scaler is about 20k max so Jeans initial burst is guranteed to full heal almost everyone and thus u get 200 stacks right off the bat. If jean heals less than what she heals now, u cant full heal an hp scaler. Her overtime heal is small and it dosnt last that long so u can get everyone to 50% hp by the start of the next rotation. CR: All of ur characters are realistically starting the rotation at about 85% HP. Xianyuns initial burst can heal about 10k per unit. Even for HP scalers, 15% HP is about 6k HP and for non hp scalers its even lower. This will heal everyone back to full but u only get about 60-90 stacks right in the beginning. Furina only drains 6.25% HP per 2.5 seconds. For most units(non hp scalers) this is about 1.2k-2k HP. Xianyuns overtime heal heals for about 3.2k per proc, overhealing the furina drain by alot. When it comes to HP scalers this isnt a big problem and she is almost equal to jean in stack generation. If we take the average stack generation, jean is significantly better than xianyun. In a jean team, u often max out fanfare in about 7-10s into the rotation. Meanwhile for CR, it takes 14s. Also if u put this into put this into a dps perspective and calc the average dmg% buff, its in favor of jean as she frontloads alot of stacks.

I think Xiao during his burst can't generate particles for Xianyun that's why TTDS is low category.

There's one thing you seem to be missing, which is that the plunge attack cap of 9000 can indeed multiply with other amplifying effects like attack buffs and reactions, so the damage can exceed that cap by a fair bit. At least, this is what I've been told by data miners on twitter

She gives you flat dmg similar to how Shenhe works, all the flat dmg provided multiplies with all of your stats like cdmg reactions etc to about 3-5x
Yeah, but people dont know that. The plung buff its actually extremely broken, thats why they limit it to 1 target only because the damage is soo high. Like just imagine a xianyun with that 9000 cap. A character like dilluc that gets 90% pyro bonus damage (from artifact, set and his passive) means that damage goes to 17100, mulitplied per 200% crit damage which already is 51300 if u vape it the damage gets 50% more damage (with EM its more of course) so its 76950, real damage its on the half of that aproximately so it would be around 38K bonus damage per crit plunge, in my opinion its a huge bonus. Maybe im wrong and reactions dont multiply that damage, but even if it dont 25K damage that does without reaction its pretty good. These are fictious numbers tho because common people wont have 5K attack xd. Around 3K is the standard that is 5700 flat damage and doing the first calculation with vaporize reaction is 17K that for a casual is not a bad number. And we have to take in count that this is only counting Xianyun and Dilluc without any other buffs like a Furina ultimate or even Viridescent Venerer

probably one of the characters I was waiting for most of all in Genshin Impact both for the lore and for her character, after seeing her in some images I wanted to pull her 100% until I read her kit... In my humble opinion this is the biggest waste of design in the entire history of Genshin Impact.
I've never said it but this time I hope Cloud Retainer makes little money, they must understand that exploiting a good design to easily sell a mediocre character is wrong.

I too, a 100% believe Oathsworn is at least top 3, just simply because
1- Favonius Codex's passive sacrafices so much ATK just for the sake of the passive.
2- an R5 codex's passive is wasted on her due to the plunge users' rotations being too long.
3- Oathsworn offers more ATK and same ER% (10 sec of 48% at R5 after using skill) and relieves you of the need to build crit.
Unless somehow you have a cracked set with lots of Crit substats for Xianyun, then there's no need for the Fav Codex with the R5 Oathsworn around.
(Now that I'm thinking about why he put Favonius Codex way above Oathsworn is perhaps he's counting the fact that she's more likely to get Xiao back in his burst quickly which, mathematically speaking, will compensate for the missing ATK she lost for a Crit Rate circlet)

No circle impact. I hate it when the enemies move away from Jeans AoE. I then have to pursue them outside of the AoE which makes Jeans burst aoe useless.

Nah she's very good in her niche (plunge attacks), it's just that people are trying to force her out of it and play her in other teams and obviously she'll underperform if not played as intended. Dehya is bad bc of scalings, CR is fine in that regard

If at least Dehya had a niche she wouldnt be jacksh*t. Right now her only actual meta use is to be a burning aura enabler for units like Ganyu, Wriothsley and Neuvillette, and that is mostly because XL is more valuable elsewhere/only 5 people built Thoma.
Only way I see Dehya being actually useful the way she is if they made a unit with stacking teamwide bennett atk buff that gains stacks whenever teammate takes damage.
Dehya's dmg redirection would be the only way (at least currently) in the game to stack this buff quickly since Fontaine characters' hp draining mechanic does not count as taking dmg.

If you don’t have Jean then Xianyun is a no brainer pull. Only two things about her have changed and one of them was a buff. Her tap skill now gives the same particles as her Triple E skill so you only have to do it once to get 5 particles which is a buff.
The only thing removed was her grouping which was replaced by a subpar 4/6/8/10 crit rate. But her grouping didn’t stagger or linger anyway so it’s not that big of a loss at all.
She still does aoe anemo dmg a teamwide heal on ult cast and teamwide heals over time (which Jean doesn’t have) so I’d get her.

IMO, buffs to specific types of attacks like normal/charged/plunged/skill/ultimate should be something done on relic sets, not on character kits.
You try putting it on a character and you end up with a yun jin or shenhe, and those characters see pretty much no use at all in most endgame situations.
Shenhe has endgame use within Ayaka and even wriotsey works but yeah Yun Jin is a pretty wasted slot in every team.
to be fair, at this point, Genshin does need to release more niche supports for all types of teams. people who have Genshin as their first gacha don't know that most gacha games will release more team-locked units 2-3 years into their gacha life. HSR will be the same eventually.

Xianyun's new passive is the same as Mika's, but adds crit rate for plunges instead of physical damage, so that means you will realize it fully only if there are 4 enemies on the field. On bosses you will get only 4% crit rate, not 10%, which is so low. That is the actual reason to be disappointed in her

How is field time at all similar to Raiden at c1? Xianyun doesn’t need to cast her skill 3 times for it to generate energy. Using her E and plunging will take similar amount of time as a kazuha hold E. Her burst duration also isn’t very long so I don’t see how she’d take that much time at C1

Also all of Xianyun's healing is teamwide.

For Diluc and Gaming specifically with Furina only due to inability to double swirl with her.
In Melt formation Kazuha is just as good for them.
But she's not supposed to be a universal support.. she's a niche support who's the best at her niche.. just like how jean is a mediocre support but is very good when paired with Furina..

Well Charlotte is a support for one but as a Chongyun main I don’t see a world where she’s a sidegrade I need to see the calcs for this. The Hu Tao calcs I’ve seen have also put Furina Xianyun teams higher than her teams with Furina Jean because the extra Plunge dmg is just nice free dmg without losing anything by swapping Jean.

C1 hutao has been 36 starring abyss since 2021 for me so she definitely made her primos worth at least.
Hutaos best team is still with bennet as the healer.
Xianyun team is only about 3% better than jean version of hutao double hydro team.

Jean:
All your characters are starting at 50% HP. Her initial burst heals for about 20k per unit. Non hp scalers have about 18k-22k total HP and HP scalers have about 35k-40k total HP. 50% HP of a HP scaler is about 20k max so Jeans initial burst is guranteed to full heal almost everyone and thus u get 200 stacks right off the bat. If jean heals less than what she heals now, u cant full heal an hp scaler. Her overtime heal is small and it dosnt last that long so u can get everyone to 50% hp by the start of the next rotation.
CR:
All of ur characters are realistically starting the rotation at about 85% HP. Xianyuns initial burst can heal about 10k per unit. Even for HP scalers, 15% HP is about 6k HP and for non hp scalers its even lower. This will heal everyone back to full but u only get about 60-90 stacks right in the beginning. Furina only drains 6.25% HP per 2.5 seconds. For most units(non hp scalers) this is about 1.2k-2k HP. Xianyuns overtime heal heals for about 3.2k per proc, overhealing the furina drain by alot. When it comes to HP scalers this isnt a big problem and she is almost equal to jean in stack generation.
If we take the average stack generation, jean is significantly better than xianyun.
In a jean team, u often max out fanfare in about 7-10s into the rotation. Meanwhile for CR, it takes 14s. Also if u put this into put this into a dps perspective and calc the average dmg% buff, its in favor of jean as she frontloads alot of stacks.

Hopefully they fix her somehow... because now she doesn't even match with jean meaning is actually worse. I'm also confused as to how flip so confidently said CR generates more than jean.
