I like the setup. The lift is great allrounder that doesn't get in the way for front back and side work, setting it in the floor with a cover gets it out the way and allows centre work (trans/exhaust /lines etc) with the car up on the wheels cribs and the lift lowered off. Cheers D
great job. If I ever have a need to own a scissor lift, I'll do this. but I'd probably double up with some sorta 2x4 for a bit more plywood support when the lift isn't being used. thanks, it's always cool learning how to do a job by watching someone else's ideas. thanks. and keep the xtool videos coming. I just subscribed yesterday.
Azure blue 2004 Mach 1. One of my favorites of all time. I had a competition orange 2004 GT that I loved, but always secretly wished I got the blue Mach 1 instead.
That blue Mustang belongs to my buddy. I've got a gentleman's silver 2012 5.0 GT ragtop that is also nice but does not have the power that his 03 turboed 4.6 has
For me the piece of plywood in the middle of a garage is a small price to pay to greatly simplify automotive work. I actually think the hoist looks beautiful.
@mr diyguy123 Jay is a clueless fool, and doesn't know the real concept of this. Looks great, I have the same life and have wanted to do this for years, your video along with a couple others has just put me 90% more towards pulling the trigger. I've always thought about the downfall of having the ditch and possibly tripping over if etc, but that plywood cover just Solved that issue !! Paint the plywood gray and 💥💯👍🏾 looks 1000's better !!
@@1uniquez haha...listen I getcha man it's the artisan concrete with a total getto lift that gets me confused. If you have that kinda money....make it fancy...not a hillbilly mod.
I like it @mrdiyguy 😁 Suggestion for your buddy with his new lift… put some sheet metal under those rollers. Sometimes the steel rollers will cause a bit of damage and eventually make “ruts” in your concrete

Nice job on this, diyguy.
Good idea
Just my opinion. It looks like trash. An eyesore in the center of a beautiful concrete floor.
