    I had a p0456 code a few years ago on my Nissan xterra. Replacement of the purge solenoid valve solved the problem. Then it mysteriously appeared. Replacement of the gas cap solved the problem for a few months and then it appeared again. Nissan placed the canister and solenoid valve in the most difficult place. I hate this annoying code.

    I have the P0455 large leak and the P0456 with a very small leak. Both codes are for an evaporative emission leak. Replaced my gas cap with a brand new one, replaced purge valve, and code still reappear after a week or so of clearing it. What can be the problem on my 2014 Sonata Hybrid? A little history on it, Hyundai sent me a recall letter to have charcoal canister replaced and computer updated at the dealership. I went to Automax Hyundai in Norman OK and they performed the recall repair. Four days after the charcoal canister replacement, that was when this code started appearing. I went there three times and they claimed that had nothing to do with P0456 code. I’m at a loss.

    • @WilliamFrawley
      @WilliamFrawley 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      3 more things to check:
      Evap System Hose- The hose that carries the fuel vapor from the fuel tank to the intake manifold can begin to leak. This will cause the P0455 code. Look for either a tear or hole in it.
      Fuel Tank Sending Unit- It is possible for the gasket that attaches the fuel sending unit to the gas tank to go bad. This can reduce tank pressure and throw the code.
      Fuel Filler Neck- There is often a gasket where the fuel filler neck connects with the gas tank. This gasket can dry out. When it dries out, the fuel tank can’t hold pressure anymore.
