finally a python for beginners video that actually starts at the very beginning. almost every other video assumes the viewer already has this setup, and just goes right into doing stuff on software i dont even have downloaded yet!

Hey Alex,
Love your videos by the way. They've helped me tremendously with my first data analysis projects. Quick question: If I already have Python installed on my system, should I remove it before installing Anaconda? I've read mixed reviews as to whether it's recommended or not. I'm just worried about running into errors since I have Python already installed and it is in my PATH variables. But also, would it be best practice anyway to save on storage by uninstalling the original Python before installing Anaconda?

Why do so many Jupyter Notebooks tutorials on TH-cam start by installing Anaconda? It's possible to install and run Jupyter Notebook and Jupyter Lab using pip. There is also a means of running virtual environments called venv.
So,when i run jupyter notebook using anaconda they will create virtual envioranment for me?

thank you ! I wanted to ask, what is the effect of you checking "Register anaconda3 as my default Python 3.9"? I'm not sure how this affects the running of other IDEs like Spyder, pycharm, etc for example. What does it mean "autiomatically detect anaconda as my primary python 3"? thanks

I was eager to get started, but immediately hit a wall installing this on my Macbook M1 with Ventura. I'll keep digging, but its just an FYI. I guess "getting started" will have to wait.

Hi Alex, I tried to fallow the installation process but for MacOS. However, after I hit finish, I cannot not find the app for Anaconda Navigator. I am not sure what to do. I tried to reinstall it again but it says it already exists. I'm scratching my head, please help. Thank you.

Can you import packages directly from this Jupiter notebook? Or does it have to be downloaded too?
Yes you can - or you can use the anaconda prompt/powershell

only reasosn I skipped powerBI and came to jupyter are two reasons
1) my uni does provide microsoft access but not after 5pm NL time
2) I want to use jupyter for my lab analysis with excel [plot data] SQL create data and tableu VISUALISE data

I'm using vscode for jupyter notebook, there's an extension for that. And yepp there are some tutorials for that.

I've gotten to the cleaning portion mostly using chat gpt, but watching your videos has helped me to understand what the code is doing.
