To look at the % of profit or loss of a live trade in TOS when papertrading do you always use the app but use the computer application to just look at the charts? This might sound dumb but I am struggling to find a way to see how a live trade is doing on the computer application. I can't look at the chart and see if I am in the green, I need the % to help if that makes any sense. I love your content, I find myself to be a slow learner and your stuff really helps.
I am new comer trying out the whole stock.options and hopes that I can learn from your videos. I am need clear understanding of the stock languages.

How long do you recommend practice mode before you go live with real money?
Honestly, it depends on you. I would say until you have a consistently profitable strategy and you're able to get a consistent winrate% above 30.

Can buy a call even if the strike price is below the current price shown? If so, how & when do you profit? Give example
You can definitely buy a call option even if the strike price is below the current price! Purchasing a call option in this case means you're buying an "in-the-money" (ITM) option.
Suppose the current stock price is $50 and you buy a call option with a strike price of $45. That $5 difference between the current price and the strike price is already in your favor. If the stock price goes up, say to $55, your ITM call option just got even juicier since now you'd get a $10 profit per share if you exercised the option! 💰
Two important things to remember:
1. Don't forget about the option's premium - to get the real profit, subtract the paid premium from the gain.
2. Timing is key - the option's value may decrease as you get closer to its expiration if the stock price doesn't rise high enough to keep the option valuable. Keep an eye on the options Greeks like Theta and Delta ⏳

Its honestly going to be your preference. I like to take profits around 30,50,60% and I like to keep a stop loss around 10-20% it just depends on my risk tolerance on that position.

It sounds like you're talking about a spread, yes you can make profit with the buying if the stock is going in your favored direction

is this possible on the webull desk top, i dont see the options tab on top (like i see it on the regular mode, top left next the to chart tab) while in paper trading mode.

I love your channel! Do you know why it won’t let me sell a put for $2.90 premium ($290) of AAPL when paper trading with a $1000 account.
Are you trying to execute a Sell to Close (STC) order to close out a position you previously opened, or are you executing a Sell to Open (STO) order, which would initiate a new short position in the underlying stock?
As a refresher, a Sell to Open order is essentially writing or selling an options contract to open a new position. This is different from simply buying a put option, as you're selling an obligation to buy the underlying asset if the option is exercised.
On the other hand, Sell to Close order is used to exit or reduce a long position, essentially closing a trade that you have previously opened by buying-to-open.
@@BlackGirlStocks I’m doing a sell put order on a new order (not closing an old one) with only $1000 in my account and it keeps denying me… lol :(
Oh, gotcha! So when you're selling a put "to open" a new position, you're basically promising to buy that particular stock at the strike price if the person on the other side decides to sell it to you. Because of this, your broker wants to make sure you have enough cash stashed away to fulfill your end of the deal if everything heads south. 😄👍
So, if you're trying to sell a put on AAPL at a $290 strike price, but you've only got $1,000 in your account, the broker isn't going to let it fly. They want to see more dough in there, just in case you have to make good on that promise to buy the shares. After all, they don't want you running for the hills if things don't go your way!

Hey I've been watching your videos, trying to learn and great content by the way. However I'm having difficulty keeping up with how you're trading. is there a "live" video that goes a little slower that explains everything (lol but seriously); what you're looking for and how to identify the right/best strike price to enter. cause you saw some stocks and quickly decided it wasn't the right stock to trade.
