Good overview vid. Bought this same model used 7yrs ago just as a player to convert my cassette recordings to digital through my DAW. Just now putting it to the task, I hope it works good. Still looks brand new. Gonna clean heads and rubber roller first. These have almost tripled in value since the price I paid.
I have it. Stopped using it when my ESQ 1 keyboard died. Really just a battery thing. Sits above my SAE Parametric Equalizer which sits above my Sansui TU 717 and Au717. All worked the last time I used them, maybe 17 years ago.....
Hey man I work as a studio technician too 🤟. Iam usually a SACD/24 96 and CD guy but I'm getting into tape and I'm curious what the dynamic range would be approximately using type 3/4 cassette and utilizing Dolby HX noise reduction??? Thanks.
That’s a good question but I can tell you it’s going to be a hell of a lot lower than 24/96. Tape saturation and compression is part of what makes analog sound the way it does.
