All I’m going to say is any man that knocks an innocent dog out by punching him in the face, slings a cat down the stairs, punches holes in the wall, waves a gun around at his wife shooting into the ceiling, marries a woman after 13 days before telling his 15 yr old daughter who recently lost her mother ……. is a real prince of a guy🤮. This man was an abusive control freak, and wanted an extremely young trophy wife to bully! I’m not a victim of DV, but I don’t need to be to know when a man is a violent person who doesn’t respect women, and I’m not even bringing up emotional abuse that his texts seemed to indicate as well.

I agree!rhe fact people are glossing over the evidence he was abusive and violent in his household is baffling.
It's tragic women these days have to be beaten up or killed to be believed.

Read the Vanity Fair article about Doug and Ashley. VF was following these two as minor celebrity couple long before he died. I don't consider either of them role models. I zoomed in and not one single tear. Also, when one is crying with tears rolling down the face, it's almost an instinctive reaction to wipe the face, chin, nose, etc because the feeling of non stop tears is bothersome. She is sniffing with a dry nose and, at no point, she wipes her face; only when she's told there are tissues and then she remembers to pretend to do it. Im sorry but this lady isnt upset by what she did. It’s an act for the jury.

I thought the state would have a better case then they've presented so far. The defendant had some convincing testimony and evidence of her husband's anger management issues and misdeeds. I don't know if she planned this but the victim is not a great guy. First, punching holes in the wall, the gun shot to the ceiling, putting tracking device on her car, and the text message from the ex-wife about him kicking her and lying paints a bad picture. Also marrying someone 30 years younger after just 13 days is insane. Add to that, he didn't even tell his child who recently lost her mother that he was getting married. Finally, the animal abuse is beyond disturbing and speaks volumes. I'd say there is reasonable doubt. I wouldn't be surprised with a hung jury. Either way, I feel really bad for the victim's daughter who has lost both parents.

A woman in my city is dead after she texted the police hotline that her husband was trying to kill her...and they let him go. He went back and shot her dead in her backyard. When I cry the amount of snot I produce is _very_ unbecoming. I can't even breathe through my nose. One Kleenex would not make a dent.
I also have tears that roll down my face. They get my clothes wet!
My nose gets red. My eyes get swollen. I take a ton of halted cleansing breaths for hours after I stop.
    I don't make a lot of noise.

It’s strange because I’ll never forget crying in front of a female judge and I mean shaken and telling her something so emotional and her said oh tears don’t work with me. Years later I would read how she loves men and never sided with women. I will never forget that day. I left where feeling this sense loss within myself that I can’t even begin to put words on. The pain I felt that day I can’t even express. I felt it for years later. It hurt me so bad. She did not defend herself, she played a power game with another toxic human being and “won” (in her parasitic eyes) the game. The jury will show her that actually they both together with their offspring lost. And all on other people’s dime (the investors, the mother, the taxpayers).

It is interesting to see two female prosecutors in a DV case like this. The "victim" shot a gun in the ceiling of their home while irate; punched the dog so hard it was unconcious; punched holes in the walls of their home; put a tracking device on the defendant's car without her knowledge and stalked her; and committed DV against his prior wife. It leans towards the defendant's perception that she feared him, and feared for her life. A definite tragedy, for all involved.

He never actually hit a woman, but his personality was very intimidating and scary, especially if he was drunk. Just because he never did in the past, doesn’t mean he wouldn’t do it in a fit of rage. At opening statements, I was leaning to guilty. During the prosecutions case I was reminded of my very personal connection to her position. I’ve been afraid of someone that had never hit me. I’ve lived in anxiety and fear of a partner. He was volatile and on speed. (He was absolutely not this person before he moved in) It came to a head and the police were called. I received absolutely no relief from LEO’s, was told even if he set the house on fire to gain access but it would be me arrested.(23 years ago). I was afraid for myself and my kids (they were not his kids).
So, I rented a house 2months rent, last & security deposit. I had a 2nd car, and GAVE it to him. I emptied my entire savings account to furnish that house, and mailed him a postcard, establishing residency. And I never moved in with him. It’s what I had to do to protect us. So, I had to be an actress. Go along to get along for 4 months.
I could relate, and thought about what it might have looked like on the outside to LEO’s friends & family.
However, they lived in different states for 3 out of the for the 4 years they were married! She left, there were RO’s but yet she continued to lead him to believe that she & he were on the road to reconciliation several times over the 4 years!
My rule of thumb is if either party is so angry that they feel the need to break things, to put holes in the wall, SHOOT A GUN into the ceiling, this is freaking toxic! LEAVE!! Don’t get a vasectomy reversal, and get pregnant!! And you definitely don’t KILL SOMEONE!!
Her testimony proves the states case IMO.

I wasn’t going to disagree with him in front of anybody,” she had me. That is a CLASSIC way we, who are abused, think. She would have never known to say that, nevermind feel that, if she hadn’t been abused. Just the fact that the prosecutor said that to her means she has never been through an abusive relationship. Men like this rely on a bubble of perfection to surround them- everyone besides the abused needs to believe that they are perfect and without fault. Once that bubble is popped then the abused will pay. She is not guilty.

If you don't mind me asking, is it because you just don't like her or? I mean there was an expert that essentially said psychics don't lie and it's almost impossible she hit him with those injuries. Also, now three of the police officers are under investigation regarding that case. Haha getting em one by one. As you were saying, Karen is guilty so how did you come to that conclusion. @@Trudy2018

He apologized and literally sobbed. This would never, ever, ever happen again!!
When we have a baby together, there will be love.
Then he flips out & immediately apologizes & practically kisses her feet in adoration... So, she forgives him again... She takes it as it comes & then takes it, & takes it & takes what comes. He would never really hurt her. He's never actually punched her...💔
