The amazing part is that they were able to play through without absolutely losing it. Yokishi and Toshi weren't just mourning the ending of their band, but the end of their friendship. As the cult that Yoshi belonged to would not have approved of them remaining in contact. You can see from the way they interacted in the better days that this entire band legitimately loved each other. Even more so between Toshi and Yoshiki. And looking back as this would be their last day spent with hide and the 10 years they lost together, it's amazing to watch.

They imposed the belief on him that X Japan was satanic in nature. They also undermined his confidence in his position in the band. So Toshi announced he was leaving and Hide suggested a final concert. This was that concert. They weren't exactly on the best of terms during this show. Which is why the hug got the reaction it did and why nearly everyone was in tears.

It wasn't Toshi's fault that he got dragged into a cult, it was his two-face wife at the time that tricked and manipulated him, who btw was also sleeping with the cult leader. Toshi wanted to be with Yoshiki and his brothers but feared the cult because they physically abused him and even said that they would be watching this performance. That hug was an honest and true hug between two best friends that had known each other since they were young children and it's good that Yoshiki hugged Toshi because it showed the fans and the other band mates to not hate Toshi.
You skipped the part that he had trouble with his brother (his manager/president of agency) and the mister ○○ bullying him for years and years with the nail in the coffin being know as "recording hell" from Dahlia where he was forced to endure the non ending recording that would go for dozens of hours and if his voice didn't come , he was forced to inject a shot directly into his throat so he could be a singing machine. Hopeless and no one to trust, the future wife came for him.
The pain on his face while singing... it hits so hard. It penetrates your thoughts and really makes you feel his sadness, struggling through the performance.

I was stationed in Japan in Yokosuka when Hide died. Apparently he was from there. I remember walking around and seeing lots of girls and camera crews. So sad.
it's really difficult to find a full concert here in yt. luckily I accidentally found bilibili, there I can watch all x japan concerts, gigs in full. I can even watch alot videos from 1985 till 2018
As a band, I do feel that they are moved by their audience and fans continuous support even if they have their rough period and they might think that its impossible for them to reunite after the lost of their 2 band mates and for other issues they may have but things turned out differently and its for the positive. They will still continue to this, get unified and stronger after Heath's request.

I watch Yoshiki even today. I could be wrong but I can still see the sadness. It sometimes make me cry.

この歌詞の中に、「全てが終わればいい」。 という歌詞と、当時大学生だった時のツアー時 「破滅に向かって」っていう言葉がありました。
この2つの言葉が現実になってしまっているのがとても悲しいです。89年にでデビューして10年も経たずに97年で終わってしまったのは本当に悲しい。
