William best thanks brother I really appreciate that, it's y'all support that keeps me doing them. Well brother hope your having a great day talk to you later
MrGeerbear thanks Wes I'm having a blast but they are definitely whipping my ass I'm so out of shape I can't wait till my doctors release me to work out again so I won't be so sore the next day lol
That surprised me although the knife is not the greatest slicer to make it fair it might be better to put the wicked edge on the same knife.but im enjoying pal.atb paddy.👍☺🍀🔪
Rough Rooster Knife Sharpening yea there are so many variables that can change the results but if we have enough people doing the test we should at least be able to get an average of how a certain knife Steel should last one thing I've noticed so far is that the v edges have been last at least twice as long as the convex edges some 3 times as more. Well brother hope your having a great day talk to you later
Cedric & Ada outdoors test showed "440c - 53 Ganzo Gsomething" 53 cuts for his ganzo with a worksharp edge. note his rope is different than your's too. but close enough. so you are about the same within margin of error. 440C should last longer with a v grind at 1500 grit via your wicked edge. but how much longer is going to be interesting to see. i think the micro bevel will make it last even longer aswell. interesting to see. im not a fan of ganzo (just had to say it for everyone to see, lol, dont mind me, im a hater of anything that steal's someone else's design(s)).
Tactical Center don't worry brother I'm not a fan of them either I just bought the camo one cause I wanted to practice my mods and the cf one cause I was thinking about buying the protech that they ripped off and your right the v edge I've found so far last at least twice as long and some cases 3 times as long and with the other Ganzo with the wicked edge it lasted way longer than the convex edge that the other one has and that makes sense to me because a convex edge is more for strength and durability and the v edge more for a keener edge but with these test it's more for fun and a gauge of what the certain knife can take but we know that there are so many different variables that can aid in making an edge last longer there are so many things that would have to be perfect and constant to make them more accurate but I'm just another guy having fun let me know if there is a certain knife you would like to see tested and I'll put it on the list. Well brother hope your having a great day talk to you later
You should have the _Count_ from Sesame Street in the bottom corner: _37! Ah-ah-ah-ah! 38! Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!_ I think you'll be needing gloves on both hands! I tell you, that AUS8 totally came out of left field, I'm really curious as to how CH's S35VN compares, and if it's a _lot_ better than their AUS8 - then how other S35VN's compare to CH. [edit] and I think you're going to need to put the same edge on all knives going forward as a baseline; a PIA to be sure, but it's about as scientific as you can get for what otherwise could be a subjective test.
slidetek lol that would be great if I can ever get my editing software working I may do that. I know there are some things I could do to make the results a little more consistent and I will try to get them as close as possible but I'm really just doing it to see what the specific knife can take and as far as the s35vn I plan on testing my crk large insingo Inkosi as my base line then I will test the ch for comparison and I may even test the WE Natida that I have in for review cause they seem to preform pretty good. But I'm dreading how many cuts they will probably make I went buy a $30 pair of those mechanic's gloves with the leather palm and the padding so I hope that helps. Well brother hope your having a great day talk to you later
Thanks for the show, and test Stassa23!
Steve Kluver my pleasure thank you for watching and I hope your having a great day talk to you later
Cool knife, love all the Stassa videos!

Why Others think Ganzo"s 440c is not real 440c ?
Stas- Nice tests.

paddys potato peelers the wicked edge on the other knife did way way better
nice bro! thinking of doing this myself
Rough Rooster Knife Sharpening that would be awesome the more test the more of an idea of how these steels preform with abrasive materials
Stassa23 i think different people will have moderately different results. we all sharpen differently. so it would be good to narrow things down
