Vacation to Swallow Falls, MD

Follow the whole gang on our annual trip to Swallow Falls State Park in Oakland Maryland, as we do a little hiking, and alot of swimming.. The scenery there is amazing..Enjoy

At the very beginning where the writing is...is what we called the deep pool and to the right are this giant boulders in the water...the second one from where you are at...is a place if you go about 3 feet under water there is a tunnel for a lack of a better word where you can swim right through it

Aug 2019: Oakland along with Deep Creek Swift Water Team was Alerted for an EMS assist at Swallow Falls State Park. Crews assisted with the removal of the patient from the falls area to an awaiting ambulance. Little Falls.

I grew up here.
My house was about 2 miles from Swallow Falls.
It’s a beautiful place but has changed a lot since I was a child.
It used to be free to get in.
There’s also a nice little beach just up from this, it’s called Herrington Manor State Park.

0:27 brings back memories. My friend and I were dipping our feet into the water right there and we decided to go a little further. We got swept away. I hung on to a rock and she hung onto me. We were screaming and laughing. It was fun...

Hi, I really hope you can answer this for me. Are there any rope/tire swing areas in Swallow Falls where kids/teens can jump into the water? And is the place where you guys are jumping the only place to jump? Are there any higher places? How did you find the area in this video... Like if we went there, how would we locate it? Thank you so much! ~Amy

I don't believe there are any rope/tire swings around. But there is a railing that's for the one trail that some people jump off of. Most jumps are fairly smaller but there are deep little holes all throughout the trail. You can locate the park by looking up Swallow Falls state park in Oakland MD. From the park there are trails that take your down along the creek to the falls and all the swimming holes. Hope this helped
