    Does the 2003 disco have the fuel filter in the tank or outside

    Hi, i have a landrover disco 2 and it switched off in mid warming up, i turned it in an was warming it up for about 8mins (by the time i got ready to leave) & as i came out to jump in it turned off on its own, i thought someone was in it & saw it running blso turned it off but to my suprise it switched off by itself, its a td5 99 model. Since then i have changed the fuel filter, also checked to make sure thers no water in the fuel or that the sign on the dash is on, please read next post -

    I have checked to see if fuel is runnng to the engine which it is, ive gone online to see some problems i found 1 vid of an issue with oil in the ecu plug, i looked at mine & found that it was filled with oil in the red plug, i cleaned it out with oil dispersent, opened up the ecu to see internally if any damage occured, i then purchased an injector loom that fits inside the rocket cover & had that fitted in, i then attempted to crank after cleaning everything & changing the injector loom cont..

    If you hav an idea about what may be wrong please let me know, our next target is the fuel relay dispite fuel going to the engine my mechanic thinks theres something about a fuel cut off switch or fuse that stops as soon as fuel reaches the engine, somethkng he says he searched up online, i also have an auto elect coming down but fear he may have trouble with it too, please help me!!     So non-SAI pumps have no pressure sensor or what?

      I think what he means is that you have either a pressure sensor or SAI. Listen again at about :42 seconds into the video. You either have SAI or a pressure sensor.

    & it still wouldnt start, the mechanic told me it may be the ecu, the fuel pump works there doesnt seem to be any signs of water in the fuel, the ecu is cleaned out & upon opening it looks brand new internally, a new injector loom, it just wouldnt start, its been sitting for 2 weeks now, if you have an email & could help me out please do, i puchased the vehicle a month ago & love these machines, im from mel. australia so parts here for a td5 arent exactly easy to come accross, if you have cont..

    Incomplete video. You should have the part number for the pump with the sensor and the part number for the pump without the sensor. Or at least include a link to your web page.

    What happened have they suddenly changed pumps..no...what they haven't explained is them pumps are petrol...not diesel pumps..I thought I was going lahlah coz when I changed mine 3/4 different coloured nozzle's... still enjoy all your vids...
