I would kill for that! Just like these videos but discussing new/interesting guitar related news/equipment etc with a few pints downed, dimly lit set perhaps? That would be awesome!
I now own two Solokings and the quality is insane. Play great and sound great too. The fact they come with the nut cut perfectly and with the intonation absolutely dialled in is amazing for the price.
I have one of last year's ms-1 models, it's superb. The build quality and finishing is top notch real custom shop vibes. It's my main gigging guitar now very happy indeed.
Wow I'm obsessed with the s408? The ash body with the rosewood neck is a beautiful combo and the rosewood pickguard is just icing on the cake. For the price, it's worth picking up just to have around lol
very good classic Andertons like .. Captain & Pete video, from you guys. I am mesmerized with that S408 Ash model . I am gonna BUY it !! What a beaut. And a D-shape neck.. Damn .. Excellent !
Good heavens, that s408 actually looks really good! Quite a unique shape, and unusual finish. Love the rosewood neck. I kind of hope there is a baritone version of it
That S408 looks incredible. Seeing these smaller companies offering these premium specs at a low quality really makes me regret some choices of guitars before. Why bother with either Epiphone or Squier, when they can get these specs at these prices?
Thats what today's musicians need. Get the fundamentals right, give them a good quality in what cannot be changed later, and fit your budget range by cutting shortcuts in parts that can be upgraded. Proper figured tops, 2piece bodies, one piece necks, stainless frets and correct cnc routing. Pickups, electronics, hardware, it can all be changed along the way. Properly good stuff.
That S408 is an Aria Pro II Jet. I had two and they were good guitars but of their price. This one looks stunning and I’m sorely tempted to try one out.
These look awesome! I've seen Soloking had few runs of their MS-11 with either wenge or rosewood necks in Ocean Turquoise Metallic which look stunning! Could we have something similar for the next run PLEASE? 😁🍻
That's how Fender should have made the Meteora look. I think it would have been more popular if they didn't make it in such horrible finishes. This looks really cool and sleek (it just needs a bigger headstock to balance the whole thing out). It looks really awesome like that.
Fender were going for a different demographic with the Meteora than their trad crowd. I think they perhaps should have had a few _more_ finishes, but I can see what they were trying to do. I think the Meteora's main problem is that it was too expensive for what it was. It _had_ to be priced cheaper than a tele or strat to get mass appeal.
@@pepmasters-999 they just had to give it some cool colours and a big matching headstock and I’d would have sold a lot more. It’s a cool shape that they just seem to refuse to live up to it’s potential

Andertons should compile a 10 hour non-stop instrumental only (no talking) video of gear review jams. It would be soo relaxing to go to work, play said video and end the day with jams still playing in the background. Btw, It’s been great to hear the progress of The Captain’s playing through the years. Good job guys.
These guitar are legit. Been around in in Asia for quite awhile. Rather get this than a harley benton, sire, squier, epiphone and any mid tier models from well know brands
Not sure people are shocked, but the issue is timing. The strat and tele body shapes as generic things has been put to bed years ago. The issue, I think, is that Fender innovated for the first time in a long time with the Meteora. That knock offs almost immediately appear sticks in the craw a little, as it leeches off Fender's design. The usage of the tele and strat shapes is less jarring as Fender has been rewarded for decades and decades for the design work they did in the 1950s for these shapes.
I just wish the MT-1 T-style had individual saddles instead of that old style "ashtray" bridge saddle construction. That's the only thing that didn't force me to buy this immediately. Maybe the next version will have this for next year? One can hope.
I have one of the old purple hss models, got it from you a couple of months ago. Took some getting used to, but it absolutely rocks. IMHO, an equivalent “brand name” guitar of that quality, would easily be £600+. The only thing that I felt lets it down, is the pickups as they are dark sounding for my tastes.
Bought the mk1 flame top MT1 a while ago, was so impressed I immediately ordered the MS1. Both brilliant guitars, especially at the price. I really do wonder what goes into guitars by Suhr etc which makes them 8 times as expensive?
I think the SJT200 is better than a Meteora. They fixed the volume knob position (check Ola's video on that). Plus there's no tremolo, I like the tune-o-matic string-through setup. Now if we could just get this in the USA.
It is a replica of a guitar by Czech guitar company Aviator. I believe the model is called the Warbird......Cant believe that's only £350! It looks ace!
Are these guitars made by Wilkinson? The reason I ask is that I have a Fret King - FKV25JDD Jerry Donahue Model- Black Label - Natural. The Fret-King guitars are made by Wilkinson. This being a Jerry Donahue (1/3 of The Helecasters) model, it has custom Seymour Duncan pick-ups with a 5-blade switch. Jerry worked closely with Wilkinson to reproduce Jerry has modded for himself for some of his unique Tele sounds. It has Wilkinson hardware, bridge, locking tuners, control plate, and recessed cupped string ball end holders. While I was researching this guitar, I read somewhere that Wilkinson was going to be expanding his guitar production. With the name commonality and both brands featuring Wilkinson hardware, I was curious to know if they were all made by Wilkinson.
Been gigging with a white MT1 for a while now, pretty good only thing I can fault with it is that the neck headstock etc can pick up dents and scratches quick despite it being "roasted maple". But damn that meteora style one needs to be made in red
It might be nice occasionally to just whack on some drive and play a few power chord riffs. I'm sure a lot of people who play rock rhythm would appreciate it👍
I like the coil tapped sounds from the meteora clone. You said they were neodymium magnet pickups? Wonder if that would make a difference on some anemic pickups I have.
Any chance for a SJT200 Left handed? I looked on solo kings website and it said “Left handed models only available for distributors orders “ I’m infatuated with this shape but can’t find a lefty one anywhere. I’ve been waiting years for fender to make it. I can’t even get one made through the custom shop.
These guitars prove that the big brands are ripping us off. The Meteora has better specs than the Fender version and is 1/3 of the price. The only thing I would’ve liked on top of this is a roasted neck. Even Squier guitars that sell for these prices have basic specs and cheaper wood. The factory does have to be reputable for quality but these guitars look great.
The Artisan models look like they came out of the Sire factory. Good looking guitars, as is the Meteora copy. The name and logo "style" on the headstocks is a bit meh but for the price, that's a pretty churlish criticism.
There are sooo many great guitars out there and sooo many great designs - why do Suhr and sooo many other companies go for a headstock that looks like some part is broken off? It is of course not a dealbreaker, but it looks so ugly. I really dislike that design.

They actually have a model that looks exactly jak Jim's - Soloking MT-1 Deluxe HH 24. Wish Andertons had it in stock
I have a white Fender Jim Root tele and I hate it.

Lovely lead sound Lee had in that opening jam. Any details on what pedals were being used?
Strat, Tele, Meteora, Novo lol. All sound good too!
That S408 is AWESOME!! wish i could get that on my side of the world.
