Your dress is so cute on you! Nice fabric. Thanks for the tip about the bust pulling the dress up & to add length. I'll have to make adjustments for those too.
A possible fix for your length issue (which I don't think is an issue at all!!) find a solid color material in one of the many beautiful color in your fabric. Remove the flounce and add a band of color at the bottom of the dress, then reattach the flounce. Length added and an accent stripe for interest.
Thanks Patty for the suggestion, I'm actually going to leave it as is. If I did add another layer of flounce it would be in the same fabric as the dress. Thanks so much for watching.
Gorgeous fabric! I had seen that one and the same print but different colors at Cali fabrics. Nice to see it on video and see the nice movement. I was laughing when you said "searching for some length." I'm also 5'7", and all legs--I know what you mean to just not be comfortable with shorter skirts. It does look great on you though! I don't think it looks too short or immodest or anything. But we all know what we like for ourselves. :)
hahahah, I know it's a tad bit outside my length comfort zone, but I do still love how it turned out in this fabric. Oh and wouldn't you know it the other color way you saw is the one I initially was going to purchase until I saw the purple background. I'm tempted to get the other colorway as well. Thanks so much for watching.
Lovely colour and print. One thing you could do ( you’ve probably already thought of this) is take off the flounce and make a new one in a solid, such as purple which you like. I’ve often added contrasting bands etc to my makes if they turned out too short or if I didn’t have enough main fabric. I have this pattern which I haven’t made yet so you’re tips are helpful. Thanks. God bless.
Thanks so much Cheryl, I'm actually going to leave the dress as is. If I did decide to add an extra flounce, I would order more of the dress fabric and add it that way, but for now I'll leave it as is. Glad that you found the review helpful.
Oh my my my I LOVE this dress, the pattern and fabric are wonderful 😍 I need more vision because my stash is getting bigger but my pattern choices to pair with them are not much 😅
Thank you so much Brooke...hahaha. Pull those fabrics out and lay them on the floor. Maybe put them in color category so you can see what goes with what and pull out those patterns and do some pairing up. That may be a good starting point.
Very nice collaboration Nateida! I agree with you in wearing this dress, there’s no way I would not wear this lovely dress! I really like the style of this pattern and may be making it myself! I love the fabric you selected too, it’s so colorful and fun! You had me cracking up when you say you don’t have a butt! LOL! 😂😂😂 (Yes you do!) Great work and love the dress! 🥰
hahahah, well my butt isn't quite rounded - LOL! I think you would definitely like this style and bonus it's easy to put together. I really do think fabric choice is everything for this style. Thanks so much for watching my friend.
I'm absolutely in LOVE with your version of the Pixie Woven Dress! Thank you so much for doing this fun and exciting collab with me! I really love your fabric choice. I know you said you're not use to having your dresses this short, but this really is cute on you. Love it! As always your makeup and accessories are icing on the cake! Flawless! 😁
Of course Tea, it's always a pleasure to collab with you as well. I know, I think that the length actually works, totally not what I'm used to though, hahaha. Heck, I need more of this fabric.
I love how your Pixie Dress turned out in this pretty lavender geometric print. This design was definitely made for you! I like the way you used the bias binding for the back closure. I'll keep this option in my closure arsenal. It's certainly easier than creating a thread loop. Great review!
Thanks so much Crystal. Yes, I've used that bias binding trick for a couple projects as it's so much easier than fiddling with fabric or doing thread loops. Thanks so much for watching.
Very helpful review for helping with determining the right size. Do you think you could lay the back piece on the fold and do away with that back opening?
Great, thorough review, Nateida! Your dress is gorgeous! 💜
🤗 thanks so much Andra!

Beautiful fabric, looks great on you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Claudette!!!
I may try this one. I am a rectangle so it should be suited to me.
Definitely go for it, it's definitely an easy sew. Thanks so much for watching.

Love the fabric! If you don't need the button/loop to get in, I would just sew up the seam and skip the opening :). But super cute!
Thanks soooo much!! Yep, that's definitely an option Michelle, but it does add a cute feature in the back of the dress.
@@SewNaturalDane that’s true! I think I’m just lazy 😂
You mentioned an alternative facing technique which I cannot find. I would like to watch that! Thanks
Hi Judy, no problem, here's the link to the video where I've shown how I do it: th-cam.com/video/Ia02b0ho7Qg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3043a2VmQD0KrKkR

Very helpful review for helping with determining the right size. Do you think you could lay the back piece on the fold and do away with that back opening?
Thank you so much!! Actually, yes, I think that could be an option as well putting the back on the fold, great idea. Thanks for watching.
