The second chess book I ever owned is Horowitz's _Chess_ _for_ _Beginners_ . I learned some good stuff from that book as a kid.

I have a special request about GM Benko for our dear HCV. I know he, like many other chess player, had an enormous Ego and I also heard he hadn't exactly a fear character. Therefore I would like to know more details about his incredibly generous action in 1971, when he qualified for the Candidate's and left his place to Bobby Fischer, who in consequence of Benko renunciation conquered the title of Champion of the World.
