Bronze is a metal alloy consisting primarily of copper, usually with tin as the main additive, but sometimes with other elements such as phosphorus, manganese, aluminum, or silicon'. It's why they cast Bronze not Brass statues.
Something in the back of my memory is that zinc is the lowest element on the cathodic (or is it anodic?) table, and will leach out of the brass given half a chance, whereas bronze will last forever.
I am enjoying the prayers as much as the wooden bits.
