    Easily one of the best Spooky Kids songs, and it doesn't even have lyrics! It's so beautiful, I want this to play at my funeral.

    This is so great, and it is so obvious that the musicianship is the musicians other than Manson. At this early point he was still able to think "band", later his ego took over and it was just "me".
    Whoever wrote this listened a whole lot to the Cure.

    i just love their music and idk why but their older music (like this song) just sound so mysterious its so nice

    This is hypnotically beautiful. Some aspects of it remind me of early 1990s grunge with a bit of Tool thrown in. I love it!

      @timmeeze1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Marilyn manson wasn't part of grunge which is what everybody's classifying 90s alternatives nowadays. Where did all of these nirvana shirts come from all at once in 2020? Manson was a little alternative rock with thick roots of 80s synthesizer with more breaks and silences, goth over grunge. He was more known than the grunge classification. his own genre....marilyn manson.

      @@timmeeze1 I never said he was grunge. I said that this song reminded me of the grunge era.
      Thanks for thinking I'm too young to understand though. :)

    I miss when Marilyn Manson was a band, not just one guy. But is it wrong if I like all of his work? He went a bit downhill around 2007, but redeemed himself in 2015. I personally love We Are Chaos.

      It's not wrong to like all of his music. I think his best and mostly good work was like 90-03 with a few gems here and there. But yeah I love the demos with the Spooky Kids the best

      @@diphenhydramine6072actually that’s the one album myself and everyone who listens to finds boring and can’t/don’t listen to it. Also the only album where I’ve never met one person who likes it. You’re definitely in the minority on this. It’s your taste so just keeping doing it though.

    Goddamn this would've made an amazing Portrait tune...wish Smells Like Children would've had been less a remix EP and more a POAF pt. two with Dune Buggy, Choklit Factory, Learning to Swim, Magic 8 Ball and other amazing songs that didn't make the cut...

      Yes! Thats why i love SLC era and include it in the POAAF style although that is when the image and sound started to get heavier and darker. That build up right before ACSS was a dope transition. I love the spooky kid/POAAF era but probably prefer the band's look from the SLC days...i see it as an in between transition from POAAF to ACSS

    Could anyone please direct me to a place that lists every single Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids song, album, EP etc?? it's really easy to find the whole discography of just Marilyn Manson when they got rid of the Spooky bit but all the songs before that are so mysterious.

    • @SgtPnkks
      @SgtPnkks 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      you can dredge around the internet you should eventually find all the songs from the various demo tapes... i had most of that stuff back when napster was a thing
      also a few bootlegs out there that compile the tracks... and one "official" release titled Lunchboxes and Choklit Cows (Scott Putesky obtained the rights to the early recordings and released a compilation with a few songs digitally remastered and a DVD with some live footage)

    What an amazing song by my favourite band. I love it, even though it doesn't have any vocals, and even though it's an instrumental track that's unfinished. I'll do a cover of it with my own lyrics :)
