God I wish they did more with this dungeon, it's the only one with such a weird location in a snowy area, and a odd way of putting you in it....they you fight a few falmer in a straight line and there's nothing really special here. I was curious to see the drawves use a magic light alongside their tradional machines or even falmer alternated drawven ruins with their magiks but oh well.
I remember watching Gopher's channel in 2011. It what made me buy Skyrim and dive into the Elder Scrolls. Bethesda or Microsoft should pay you a commission. 👍🏿

That first minute has got to be the most terrifying minute of Leonard’s life. Never mind all the dragons. Dragons are predictable. You know what there going to do. But an elevator?!? No, the minute you find yourself scared of an elevator you already know your in uncharted territory and there’s no way to prep for what’s coming next. You just have to hope you live long enough to get off.
elevator would imply there was a floor descending down carrying the occupant. Nope this was a trapdoor with a long fall under it. Were it not for the pool of water at the bottom he'd be very dead. Actually the fall was long enough the water would have probably been as deadly as hitting a stone floor but this is Skyrim where physics are a mere suggestion at best.
@@PheonixSunstar001 It's lucky he stayed where the light was. According to the wiki, if you stay on the edges, there is a real chance of you smashing into the stone on the way down and insta-dying.

Here's a fun theory for all. The mist/Bloodspring from Redwater Den is seeping into the ground and spreading out through the subsoil of the areas between Redwater Den and the mining Town of Shor's Stone. The miners are complaining of coughing fits and owner of the mine has you send a sample of ore back to a shopkeeper in Riften in order to understand its properties.
Falls down a really deep chasm, slaughters majority of hostiles, loot ruined books, then all of a sudden..."ooh, alchemy bench!" We all know Lenny's real treasure is finding them...lol😜😂. Great video as always! Gopher!
There needs to be a Leonard companion mod that has like a 5% chance of betraying you if you pick up especially valuable. He'll only kill you by pickpocketing poison, backstabbing, or killing you in your sleep 😂. Good character work, great commentary, and a very enjoyable series. You got me into a stealth based character for all these chapters. Good on ya my friend!!
Has anyone else noticed that nearly every single one of the coffins added by the Dawnguard DLC which lie open on the floor, are upside down?? I always thought they looked a little odd, 'till one day I noticed the reason they looked so shallow was that the part you're supposed to lie down in is, in fact, the lid. : P
I had expected that dungeon to be a lot longer, but eventually realized I was confusing it with Tovald's Cave, which is one of the few places I continue to truly hate in Skyrim for being unnecessarily long & exhausting.
Mystery of Who killed Reynha and who payed the dark brotherhood to kill Narfi. Venarus Vulpin was in the Vilemyr inn Looking for a bit of dinner around the time Reyna disappeared. Narfi was whining to much and might cause him to be thought of so payed the Dark brotherhooid to kill him. Actually makes more sense then Wilheim doing it.
The Wilhelm theory always crossed me as people jumping to conclusions. I always went with the theory that Narfi was a werewolf whose mind broke after he killed his sister.

The only thing that really pushed me into taking the werewolf idea seriously was that Narfi is likely to reward you with human flesh for completing his sidequest. It's not a guarantee, but I've gotten it more than a few times for it to just be random. On the other hand, it's perfectly possible that she just fell in the river and drowned. Believe it or not, lots of people drowned in pre-modern England because they fell in a river, and were wearing wool. Wool absorbs too much water and weighs you down. I think the Venarus theory you suggested though is the most likely, since it checks off all the boxes.

Leonard found a chest in the Vampire Den that I didn't know about! That makes up for his not noticing the flawless diamond in the cave. Mind you, that diamond *is* rather difficult to spot if you don't know about it. : )
For Elder Scrolls Nerds: Kagrenzel is a reference/reprise dungeon to the Fain dungeon on the Shivering Isles. Both start with a Main building atop a mountain and a trap in the first room which then leads to a looooong free fall into water. So this dungeon concept is not new in the Elders Scrolls in Skyrim!
It is still unique to The Elder Scrolls. Since the Shivering Isles are a big DLC to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion . So they repeated one of their own ideas.

I'm curious Gopher, was that the first time you've been in Kagrenzel? Because I've personally only discovered the dungeon after several hundreds of hours played, because it is so far away from everything else, and because there's no vanilla quest that leads you there, not even radiant ones. And from what I remember, neither Stiv nor Richard ever set foot in the place (though I might be wrong there). It's a real shame the dungeon is so obscure, because the freefall section makes it one of the most unique dungeons in the game.
Some radiants *do* lead you there, but radiant locations are random. You could do a radiant quest a dozen times with no 100% guarantee of it leading you to Kagrenzel.
@@WildFyreful Nope, radiant quests still have a predetermined pool of locations they pull from, and according to uesp, which usually lists all the possible radiant quests for each area, there is none that leads you to Kagrenzel.
It's really impressive that he survived those sharpened stakes. Those are the single deadliest trap I've found in the game. Second deadliest being the falling rocks, which are infamously deadly even while stationary.
Let's face it. Leonard is going to miss *every* underwater chest that he doesn't bump into by accident. He also missed the flawless diamond in the tunnel further on, but it's difficult to spot anyway.

I actually went straight to Redwater Den the moment after I'd recruited Inigo, expecting him to have all sorts of things to say about the one Skooma den in the entire game, due to his previous experiences with the substance. Nope, he says nothing out of the ordinary at all. Not even after I drank straight from the redwater source, he just remarks on you becoming a vampire later. Kind of a wasted opportunity, honestly.
Inigo doesn't have unique dialogue for the dlcs yet, and Redwater Den is from Dawnguard. I believe the author was planning on adding that after the Inigo's quest was finished.

But if Leonard owned them and knowing he hates swimming and being wet, I bet he'd carry them around to put on in certain situations. I'll be honest, it just occurred to me that he had been avoiding things that would lead him to Solstheim anyway. 23 stones of Baronseeyah out of 24 is pretty good. I am pretty sure the last one is in the Blackbrair lodge just outside off Dayspring canyon. Either that or in the ruins with the tortured ghosts, I don't really remember if Leonard have been there but I think I remember Leonard skipping out on searching the master bedroom in the lodge. I was thinking With Maven being charmed in her dreams I could imagen her saying something like "I hear you have been searching for a specific set of stones. I seem to recall there being one of them in the family lodge. Someone like you should have no problem in getting it if you so desire but try not to make a mess"
I am pretty sure he missed the one in Blackbriar Lodge. He didn't go into the room around the corner upstairs, just made it to the room with a door to the outside.
I imagine you already know this, and it’s just that it looks weird for a let’s play, but in case not: the rage spell works better if you quickly stand up, then crouch again real quick. Least it does with the mods I have, must be an AI thing? Idk

I assume you mean how does it give strength but weaken the body? Simple it raises strength, reduces stamina. Example, you swing a sword harder but tire out faster.

Honestly the most impressive thing about Leonard at this point is that he seems to have gotten to Alteration level 52 solely with the light spells.

I didnt discover kagrenzel until several years aafter I started playing, noticed a lot of people dont know about it or only found it much later

Increasing the radius of mage lights might be a good idea. Also, Triumvirate Shadow Magic might be a good pick for Leonard.

There is a gambling den, which houses wolf fights. It is the Skooma supplier to Riften.
If only Leonard had heard the Legends of Ahzidal's Waterwalking Boots.
What would happen if you are wearing those during this fall? Would you hit the water as if it were ground? Would you die from fall damage?

When I did the orb ride I was very disappointed. I was expecting so much more.

None of the vanilla necromancy spells go there, it's mainly just raising undead to serve you.

I assume you mean how does it give strength but weaken the body? Simple it raises strength, reduces stamina. Example, you swing a sword harder but tire out faster.
Burst of energy, but the burn out leaves you weak.
