As a beginner cheap and easy solo pvp and pve use battleaxe or 1h spear. Swords are probably a good weapon line to get into (dual swords or carving sword) as that seems to be the favored weapon of the devs.

heey you know if you typed 4.1 in market it will show 4.1 of items you searched as well as 4.2 all the way to 8.4 ; it will help you save time
