For anyone that wants to play it on piano: (With a quick sweep from low to high) FACE, EGCE, FACE, (Single notes, with the first three played with the same quick sweep and then more space for the last two) EGC E G, DGB D G (Repeat). For the Chorus: (played together) ACE, FACF, EGC, EGBC (Repeat). Finally, for the "Dad you were there...": Same as the chorus except you cut out the ACE, but then you finish with an ACE (high pitched "heart"). Hopefully someone gets some use out of this. Feel free to post corrections.
I fell in love with a senior my freshman year. She stopped talking to me after she told me how she thinks she loved me then went to college. Never gonna see her again. She means the world to me. And shes not even with me.
@serialreader17 Honestly, I know he talks about wanting to commit suicide. But I don't really think it's a depressing song because if you listen to the end he gives reasons to live and as he is singing to us is clearly not dead. Which is a very heartwarming ending to a sad sounding song at the start. That's kind of how life is though, things get had for a while but if start looking for the things in life to appreciate rather than dwelling on the burns of the past things get better.
"but we try so hard not to die, sometimes we forget to appreciate life." gets me every time.
so many memories lost...
