Also, most firecrackers and fireworks are banned unlike before, but unfortunately, someone still died because of a powerful firecracker.
This is actually pretty tamed fireworks display because of the regulations passed against fireworks. It was more chaotic and awesome back when I was growing up
This is simple new years celebration before when it was 90's straight 1 hour non stop firecrackers 🧨 and fireworks all over in the Philippines i miss that kind of celebrations
The best NYEs i had have been in Manila 2 times 2006-7 and 2018- 19 . Las Vegas 6 different times ain't to bad either but damn Manila is crazy. The last 4 years i have been in AC PHILIPPINES and I just went to sleep early like it was any other day and heard the fireworks laying in my bed..

This is very very tame compared to the chaotic new year during the 90's and early 2000's...its like a thousand alien invasion, July 4th celebration all rolled into one.

In the 90s firecrackers were more dominant and those years up to the early 2000s created PWDs 😅 Our entire city alone always had zero visibility after all the unstinting explosions polluting the air with suffocating smoke. It traumatized animals that couldn't bare the noise. It's a fun childhood experience, though.
Its not even as bad as it was before the restrictions on fireworks. If you were there 2018 or before you woulda seen some of the more insane displays like the legendary "Goodbye Philippines" which is (I think) a 2 pound gunpowder bomb that explodes with the power of 5 concussion grenades. And oh, gunpowder cannons on the streets with hundreds of meters of chain firecrackers going off at the same time.
That sounds like it must have been really awesome to witness. We saw some of the street type firecrackers as well that was really going off with thousands of firecrackers in San Martin De Porres Barangay. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!
