Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. She is the bassist in this video. The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university, playing her first live show with the band in March 2023. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They will be in the US for the first time later this year. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. A new EP and a live album will be released on august 28. Absolutely love this song. One of my favorites from them. That’s the way you open a show! This was the first song I heard of theirs and I almost cried I was so happy to find a band like this. They’re my favorite band! So in this one, except maybe that note at the end, you don’t get Asami’s full range. Check out something like Set the World on Fire or Judgment Day (both live) if you want to see more of her range. To sing along, you’ll need the lyrics until you get used to her accent. Tthey are extraordinary. 5 elite musicians who play seamlessly and effortlessly with each other. Each one is a star in their own right, but the sum of the parts is what matters. They are the best metal band to come along in decades. The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are the best duo I have heard ever.

Hello from Japan. In Japan, about 50 years ago, when The Beatles held their first concert in Japan, a band boom took place, and today there are more than 100 groups of female bands alone. One of the top groups among them is LOVEBITES. The color white was considered taboo in the Japanese metal scene, and there was a danger that they would not be accepted by those around them and become isolated. However, they dared to choose a white feminine stage costume and made the wolf the band's symbol, saying, "Even if we are treated like a lone wolf, we will do what we want to do. And the pentagram at the beginning of the concert suggests their third full-length album, "Electric Pentagram," which they released a month before this concert, and the songs performed at this concert are mainly composed of this album's songs. Typical LOVEBITES: After 6:30 mins song: "Oh, no, the song is so short!" I have experienced this quite often, my explanation is, you never get bored, it's happening a lot of interesting thins, that's why these relatively long songs that LOVEBITES write, seem to be quite short. At least not too long!

Tthey are extraordinary. 5 elite musicians who play seamlessly and effortlessly with each other. Each one is a star in their own right, but the sum of the parts is what matters. They are the best metal band to come along in decades. The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are the best duo I have heard ever.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 694,000 TH-cam subscribers.

Hello from Japan.
In Japan, about 50 years ago, when The Beatles held their first concert in Japan, a band boom took place, and today there are more than 100 groups of female bands alone. One of the top groups among them is LOVEBITES.
The color white was considered taboo in the Japanese metal scene, and there was a danger that they would not be accepted by those around them and become isolated. However, they dared to choose a white feminine stage costume and made the wolf the band's symbol, saying, "Even if we are treated like a lone wolf, we will do what we want to do.
And the pentagram at the beginning of the concert suggests their third full-length album, "Electric Pentagram," which they released a month before this concert, and the songs performed at this concert are mainly composed of this album's songs.

I have experienced this quite often, my explanation is, you never get bored,
it's happening a lot of interesting thins, that's why these relatively long songs
that LOVEBITES write, seem to be quite short. At least not too long!
So insanely talented that even Sgt Pepper's straight-jackets can't slow them down on stage. The best new band to come along in a very long time. They have no fillers and LIVE they never disappoint. They will surprise you often but as a member of the Wolfpack you will always experience the best these musicians have to offer!!!!
