People take a long time to change, the government changing laws like that is the first step. Thats not to mention things like the underground railroad or the refusal of northern states to return runaway slaves.
Ryan Morgan the main reason why the north was fighting to end slavery wasn’t because of the moral reasons but the economic. And while it is true that the majority of the pro emancipation group were denizens of the north most didn’t really care.

So why are you biased against whites? Why aren't you up in arms about the fact that whites were enslaved first and by a MUCH bigger margin by the same ones you are now defending? Why do you think slavery is synonymous only with Africans? To be fair nearly every time humans encountered different races or species of humans we just fucking butchered them at first. Think about when we came up from Africa and butchered the Neanderthals... There was no law of the land saying people couldn't come here at that time and now that there is a law set in stone, people can't just come to the USA illegally. Not only does it mess up our economy, but its a serious threat to the US as a whole.
