      I hate when jockey Ronnie dude sings in the stream, that's the worst. I just turn it off. Second worst is Nik's jokes and him trying too hard to be funny. But what he is saying here is believable and I like this side of Nik. This side of him talking is real to me.

    I am a big Garrett fan. His high-pressure play was fun to watch. He was the big name that would draw viewers. So, for sure, the stream would have wanted him. But once he left, I thought the game got even better. And now, Hustler doesn't need the drama and cost of bringing him back.

    • @theodorehsu5023
      @theodorehsu5023 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He was more toxic than he wanted to believe, but Garrett found with the Robbi drama, his actions poisoned everything he held dear, and everyone had had enough.

    • @theodorehsu5023

      I liked last year’s “Streamer special” and “Ludwig’s Million Dollar Game,” which showed the fun side of Hustler Casino Live. This year, Alexandra Botez, the chess player who ran like the sun on the “Million Dollar Game” helped set up the first 2023 Streamer Special, and she’s got a new one this coming weekend. And none of it needed Garrett at all.

    Unexpected face turn from Airball.
    Thought he came across as a decent guy. I don't see the game selection stuff from Garrett as being problematic, although it starts to get a little dodgy if he's essentially dictating (or being allowed to dictate) who gets to play, and he certainly doesn't get to complain if the end result is that there's no lineup available for him.
    Nik is totally on the money about pros needing to make the games fun for recs though, and if Garrett's been acting in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable, that's super uncool for everyone involved.

      @PurrfectMina most players look for soft spots. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Most players do it to some degree or another.

      I mean *no* disrespect but having followed this much closer than most (and Certainly MUCH closer than Nik and Doug), it still surprises me how Nik and Doug are so clueless about the reality of the J4, and what really drove it all. It takes common sense that many folks surprisingly just don't have.
      After the investigation results when NICK V interviewed Robbi on his podcast there was a lot of insight; but Nick V's interview was a little weak (mainly because he (like most) was too busy to really put enough time and thought into the matter).
      Nevertheless, although most ppl miss the REAL truth of the J4 (bc they were fooled by Robbi, "looking" at her cards), at least the report explained there was no evidence of cheating. ✌🏾

    Reminds me of when Garrett was on "Survivor". He did very similar moves based around control and moderate bullying. He wouldn't let any other players go around and discuss strategy in private. He deemed himself team captain in charge of everything. He was voted off second. Like now, he couldn't see the forest for the trees.

    Nik's civil interview was pretty jarring compared to his on stream persona, but I took exception to his J4 discussion because there was a LOT of proof for the cheating. The guy that had access to the live card feed took $5K from Robbi and then disappeared the very next day. She refused to press charges against her accomplice until she realized how bad that made her look. He had been in heavy communication with Robbi and the other guy at the table prior to the J4 day. Robbi's actions were completely illogical UNLESS she had been signaled that she has the best hand at the moment. Ever since that day Robbi's play has been completely different and exactly what you would expect from a nitty fish that plays bad ABC poker without being signaled.

    Nik keeps saying how the hand isnt relevant, but the relevant part is what it lead into afterwards. Robbi gives a bunch of weird reasons why she called with J4, then comes back 15 mins later claiming she misread her hand. And maybe she did just panic at how bad it was about to look on her with that call and was just word vomiting a bit after the hand talking to Garrett, but thats the fishy part for me in all this is how she comes back with a different story about her misreading her hand
    Also side note, Nik claims hes made plays throughout his poker career probably worse then the J4 Robbi hand, but I guarantee it would never cross his mind to actually give 100k back to someone if he ended up getting lucky and sucking out on them on one of those bad plays just because the call looks really stupid
