In Zimbabwe, they have the saying "Until the lion learns to write (tells his story), every story will always glorify the hunter. " Nagaraju Gajula, director at Telugu Film Industry, explained this by saying "As long as the lion can't write, the hunter keeps telling his side of the story. His heroic acts in the jungle, his expeditions, medals and bravery are glorified in all of his stories. He could say that the Lion runs away and hides on his arrival, scared of him. He could tell stories of how he saved the animals under the attack of the Lion. He may describe the stories of cruel and barbaric nature of the Lion, and how he spared its life when he caught it. The people who listens to him will trust him as they don’t know the other side of the story. But by the time Lion learns to read and write, it can debate and reject many of the claims, revealing the true nature of the hunter. It can write its version of the story saying how scared is the hunter on seeing the lion, how he survived on dead animals, how cruel he was to the small and innocent creatures, how he hunts down animals for fun. It can describe how he trapped the animals and tortured them to death, and how he disobeyed the laws of the forest. Although the explanation is the literal description of the sentence, it has more subtle meaning. Every time a civilized society is established in the history, a barbaric tribe or invaders attack and destroy their history and re-write what they intend it to be. It was the reason many of the flourished civilizations remained in history. Their cultures, languages, religions were lost. Some of the invaders who destroyed them are hailed as great emperors. The stories of the war are told by the one who won it. Most of the emperors are described as great because no one dares to write against them. The invaders eradicate the cultural identity of native kingdoms and establish their rule as if they’re doing them a favor. Then the religious practices and ceremonies are ridiculed. Finally they instill a sense of inferiority in the native people and exploit it in their favor. The colonization, too, followed this pattern. This concept is widely applicable to many events of the history. And it frankly describes us that what we call history is just one side of the story." With both Black People's history and the history of Muslims, the story is different when told by non-Black People or non-Muslims than by the people themselves because the writers had a hidden agenda to glorify themselves and wished to justify their enslavement and colonization of the people (and, in the case of Muslims, to discourage people from becoming Muslim). For the record, I have read Edward Wilmont Blyden's book "Christianity, Islam and the Negro Race" and, when he reaches Africa he cites a letter he wrote to an important official there, in which he signs his name "Kareem." This indicates that he might have become Muslim. Sylvane Di'ouf speaks about in her book "Servants of Allah: African Muslims Enslaved in the Americas", how many Muslims in the United States pretended to become Christian in order to be sponsored by the abolitionists to return to Africa and, once they reached Africa's shores, reaffirmed their Shahada. This may have been the case with Blyden or he might have been so impressed by his research on Islam that he took Shahada in Africa!

How do you discuss the history of al-Islam in America and don't acknowledge Imam Warithuddin Mohammed (raa), who led millions to the true Aqedah of Islam after the death of his father Elijah Muhammad.
I don’t know why Dawud mentions about people judging the kufar of the Nation, no one is judging them especially when truth comes to them then they leave the falsehood practices but not saying forget your transition, forgetting your past.
As Salaamu Alaikum We do not speak about groups like the so called nation of Islam, and the likes thereof in a good manner, because they purposely perverted the true message of Islam to suit their own agenda. The Arabs that you speak of during, and before the Prophet's SAW time were ignorant and had never sought to promote Islam in any way whatsoever. We don't speak highly, or respectfully about individuals, or groups who knowingly LIE on Allah. You know what Allah says about those who lie on him.
This isn't entirely true, and their origins are much too complicated to speak about in such hyperbolic language. To be fair, many of the beliefs they still hold on to were actually borrowed from much older Muslim traditions, such as the literalist understanding of God having a physical form and the belief in 12 earthly/heavenly imams (Ghulat Shia). There are other innovations, though they appeared as sort of a foundation myth to support the identity they were attempting to restore. While we can reject their beliefs, it's unfair to say "they purposefully perverted the true message". We should be building bridges, not walls.
