Hi Trevor , May I ask when saving your business card is it the exact same way in 2013 office. I'm just asking because the Save & Send option isn't in the file save a... Would you know if I can do all what you done saving and that with office 2013.. Thanks Andrew
Hi Andrew, In office 2013 there is no save and send. However the feature to email the file can be found under the share option in the file menu. You may also like to look at the Export features found in office 2013. Best wishes Trevor
Unless you plan on printing your own cards with your inkjet desktop and trimming them out yourself, Powerpoint is NOT the tool to use. Powerpoint is slide presentation software and is optimized for such. It has NO output options required for professional or commercial printing. For business cards, flyers or brochures that need to be printed professionally and in quantity use Microsoft Publisher instead.
Not true. You forget RGB only output from Powerpoint which can cause problems downstream in the printing process. At least from Publisher you can output composite CMYK. We all have to accept files from programs like Powerpoint and *force* them to work for purposes other than intended. However, you run the risk of incurring additional costs because you did not allow for bleed or correct color space for the printing process. Your tutorial is fine for hobbyists printing at home, but I would not suggest a business of any size use powerpoint for anything other than slide presentations.
These tutorials are not intended to help commercial printers.We use a Cannon production printer and produce 1000,s of business cards lanyards brochures and flyers each month designed in word and Powerpoint. Most people do not have access to Publisher and not even understand the colour considerations mentioned. Thanks for sharing. Trev

Fine until Table Layout (8:00) settings. What are the settings here for US Standard 2.5" x 3.5"?

Print them on the thickest paper you printer will allow. 250-350gsm if possible.
