  • Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of the World Drifter show. On todays episode we are going to explore the historical city of Thessaloniki.
The city took its name from the sister of Alexander the Great, princess Thessaloniki. Our first stop is the White tower which is located on the waterfront of the city and it is a great monument and a symbol for the city. From the top you can enjoy the 360 view of the city.
Next stop is the church Agia Sofia, one of the oldest churches in the city and similar to the great Agia Sofia in Istanbul.
We continue our journey in the city through the old traditional market, Kapani. In this area the locals can find fruits, vegetables, fish and meat in very good prices.
A quick stop at Rotonda and the Arch of Gallerius is a must and then we will continue for the sunset at the hill of the city and the castle.
