QB is the most important position in football and it's just a fact. Anyone that thinks the Pats had success more attributed to Bill is an idiot. Bill has been an average to above average coach in every single season he hasn't had TB12. Don't tell me 11-5 in 08 because they got smacked by every decent team they played and missed the playoffs. You're telling me it's just a coincidence that they missed the playoffs in the one year tat Brady didn't play? They'd go 14-2 with Brady in 08 and maybe a SB. That's a HUGE difference.

Gottlieb talks like many do about Cassell. He forgets that Cassell had some success with Kansas City. If he had stayed with the Patriots he would have further developed and become significantly better than he became. Tom was still around so that didn't happen.
