Just bear in mind there’s many more aspects of the game such as co-op, guilds and having an instructor that I didn’t cover. So there’s a lot more depth and stuff to do within PGR! Also, more experienced players are free to roast or advise me :)
Co-op isn't very good, however it gives you a chance to get a free five star weapon and be able to purchase one ftp. It's not bad thing necessary to do co-op weekly.
On the CN 5th Anniversary Livestream, they mentioned having Future Stories to have Voice Acting as well as giving older chapters Voice Acting Gradually as well.
@@Zade1994 Yeah some sprites need to be reworked, the areas need an overhaul too, the story is supposed to be slow though but they should make it more enjoyable with Cutscenes, they need to Rework Musashi, Tifa and Roland bosses too.
No they didn’t say that. What they actually said was voice acting for future CHARACTER story only and they may add voice acting to some of the older character stories later on.
I started in last week of BRS Collab I'm now at lvl 86 and I'm having fun but i don't have that many characters only good units that i have is Alpha CW and Watanabe epitaph but I'm doing fine for now I'm currently trying to build lightning team and a fire team I plan on playing long term bought the monthly pass
Sweet! You have a good base to let those two carry you. And you'll get free Alpha CW and No.21 Feral Scent some time after Lucia Pyroath patch to get them stronger for your lightning team. For Fire team, Liv Amp is the most viable to get into your team over Lee Hyperreal as he will get powercrept by pyroath, and Liv will get Leap skills additionally. Wishing you the best Commandant
building A rank around CW and Epitaph is a good strat because there will be character selector in the future and you can select their best teammates using it, and not to mention upcoming new Lucia will replace Lee in fire team and vera will retire in lightning team
I play as F2P, I have all 5 metas, full team SSrank, most of them have their sig weapons, some Cub in one year. If you buy the monthly pass, it should be much faster.
@imcat1236 this is why I love this game. Kuro takes care of their players. It doesn't feel like they're bleeding you dry For spenders and F2P don't feel excluded from content
Funny enough, right now you have not only the best current lighting attack, but also overall one of the best characters in the game. You are doing fine so far.
The one thing I think people need to know is that you are not building just 1 character or two, you are building a team of them. at most One team for each element. At such you need to be playing for a while to get a whole team up and running and if you chase the meta builds it may take a year or two to get a meta team for each element. But don't get discourage you can focus on a single s-rank that you like and invest heavily on that unit and that would be enough to get you like 70%-90% of the rewards heck some events you can get 100% because kuro gives a lot of strong trial characters. After that you can build meta teams if you want or just get the newest characters; kuro gives enough rewards for you to get the new characters and one advice I would give is focus on the new s-rank since those would most likely be meta-characters.
same advice i would give because new S ranks most of the time replace 1 of the meta characters building a team for new S ranks is the best way to catch up
Building team is to much, building dps and 2 qte supports what u will never see in action unless u whale is more truthful statement, i liked playing it for 2 years, but fact that u have to play same unit over and over again cuz it's just dps loss if u swap to other teammates unless u have them at sss with 6* weapon, what is unrealistic for f2p or even light spenders, become boring overtime
Day 1 player here and been playing daily until now. So far PGR is my top mobile game and the story is amazing. The story has peaked and every new patch brings even more plot twists and epic story (Aeon Reforged has a lot of epic novel vibes). I agree with most of what you said, especially the game being f2p friendly. I have a friend who was able to collect almost all characters by being f2p and having some signature 6star weapons as well. So far, this game is the most generous in the gacha sphere. I just want to add though with team buildings, that amplifiers have now replaced supports and are good with the specific elemental teams. But certain set ups can be used to allow the amplifiers to be used in other elemental teams, such as having a different set of memories fo Alisa Echo and she can function in a similar way (or even better if Alisa has a higher rank thru dupes) than Selena Cappriccio. Though this can happen, it is rarely used and I only see them in warzones. Contents also, many hard contents are available for new and veterans. New players can tackle challenges like golden vortex or the initial stages of the stronghold, while veterans can aim to finish all stronghold levels, the rotating cycles of hard contents such as Norman Revival Plan, Babel Tower (one of the hardest contents) and Clash Reflection. That's all I'm adding. Great review and video of PGR.
@@carloconsignado4065 Man, Aeon Reforged is probably my favorite chapter just for the world-building and lore drop alone. Not to mention Watanabe's character is so intriguing. I love how this game connects most chapters to each other. Foreshadowing and references from and to various chapters makes the world and characters feel so alive. Which is saying something cause PGR is a non-voiced visual novel yet is capable of such immersion.
took awhile for story to get good, starting out i see why people dropped it, it sucked don't think story got good for me until like 8 or 10 i believe really wish there was VO acting or none static pics during dialogue, it hurts it.
Just happened to start recently myself, one thing i noticed is vastly different from almost every other gacha game out there....people are actually eager for powercreep simply because the meta teams stay meta for so long it's actually insane. And they only replace one part of the team with each new meta character so to completely replace everyone from a meta team will take literally years. And it's not that the powercrept characters can't function anymore, its mostly for clout purposes for higher placement in the endgame modes. The attackers/tanks/supports that worked 2-3 years ago are still good enough to clear all content with the right build and setup ofc.
Been playing PGR since end of februari. It's been a lot of fun. Found a nice guild to talk too (discord). Appearantly the new Qu banner is still a normal banner. After that it will start too steamroll into syncing up with CN. This cannot be done without compensation in resources for the time lost ( or they'll get massive backlash ). And there is quite a roadmap of free units incoming. So if anyone were ever interested in PGR. There is never going to be a better time too start than in Dec 2024. And since i didn't know about this game sooner. I think Kuro Games should definitely put the marketing in overdrive right now. Because for new global players after the syncing up is done; these are going to be so far behind giving them all the old characters ( non time skip ) for free would barely going to make a dent with the power/potential the newer frames ( Qu: Shukra and onward ) are going to be putting out.
Thanks for the guide. Tbh I didn't continue to play PGR before because I'm confused how the combo and skill works in this game compared to HI3 and Aether Gazer.
I started playing for over a year as F2P, I have all 5 meta team with SS rank and most of them have their Sig weapons some with CUB. This is the F2P aspect of this game. and power creep in this game is like 2 years but plume still meta for3 years now next banner will power creep her finale.
Best combat gacha imo and one of the best gacha ever The only aspect I’m not a fan is the fact that you can uprade the tier of your rank A units. This is not totally bad because it allows you too evolve an A character that you might like to play. But for me the problem lies in the fact that this aspect removes some exclusivity to S-rank characters from a visual perspective in your character area and combat selection because at the end of the day all characters can have that S rank symbol (even if they are still not referred to S rank and are weaker). It’s not a game breaking aspect and for sure most of ppl don’t care about it but for me they could give in that aspect a bit more love to S characters like make a golden border or smth And also they should add a “team selection” area for you to see/build your teams in the main menu lobby
I started playing last year during the Bianca stigmata patch. I was able to obtain the older constructs but I’m only missing chrome glory, nanami starfarer, and Vera Garnet. The other constructs I missed out are three characters from a collab i missed out on since I found the game later. I have gotten many of my constructs stronger, but they are not full memory equipped and I don’t have the six star signature weapon for almost all of them.
I've been playing since Everglowing Justice on Global, and I got one thing to say: DO NOT try and use characters of different elements in the same teams, this isn't very important for supports, but critical for Attackers, Amplifiers and Tanks. For example, if you have a Alpha Crimson Abyss (Lightning Attacker), a well built Karenina: Scire (Dark Tank), and a weaker Chrome: Arclight (Lightning Tank), choose Alpha and Chrome to be in the same team. This is because Attackers can't take advantage of the Tank's resistance reduction if they are of different elements, and are pretty much useless except for maybe some chip damage from the QTE.
I've been playing this game since release and once was the best in it whales were overwhelmingly surging like a huge tide in it and because of it i didn't really want to engange anylonger but still play it it's a well developed game deserving of praise.
you need to do all your dailys and burn energy just get tasks done, and try push through the story as much as possible to unlock modes especially you able farm black cards so you can summon if you aren't spending you need push through as much as possible and level up your starter units especially Lucia
its really good, but you need to be ready to grind a lot especially for black cards if you don't want spend money it can be real chore. Recommend leveling your free units up don't listen some guides i was using them for long while to farm black cards at first until i pulled better units. Only thing sucks i wish there was voice acting the story is pretty solid in PGR, i like far more than Wuwa i found that game disappointing 1.0 was mess, i liked 1.1, 1.2 was bleh i dropped it, also next characters coming out didn't interested me after dragon lady and her mentor, i dropped the game as bad habit. I need to make a few correction PGR was thier first global realsied game, Kuro First game was Twintail Battle field what true how only was cn realsie but it was a huhge sucess in the country
i just play 3 days ago, when i asked for guide in world chat and official discord, they thought i was joking and actually a smurf, which i obviously not. worst experience so far since i have completely no idea what im doing
Ehh, you should try again tho. But there is one mode where they teach you the mechanics of how to play the game. Honestly that made even more easier to understand for me at lvl80+💀but you should try it, also gray raven website and spider 2b is the go to for the guide. There are some other TH-camrs out there create good guides too
Important not, Transcendents or as they are called now, Uns, are useless from a meta perspective, they are weak and have 20%/40% damage penalty when mixes with regular construct, so don't waste your precious black cards on them.
Does the quality get better? As in Story stages. So far it has been doing 15 second missions of killing enemies on a map that looks that it has been rendered in 420p. I hope they get longer and better/
takes a while story doesn't get good until like past 8 chapters, when you get into side stories game story gets better, you have don't mind no VO acting and static images, it doesn't change, the main draw for PGR is combat if you aren't really into that id drop the game
The battles in the story never really get better unless it's a boss fight. The story is good for the story and that's good enough for me since it just keeps getting better.
The first 8 chapters are there to introduce most of the characters, the story ramps up at around chapter 13. If you want there is a site called Gray Ravens, that has all the main story related chapters listed, there are story summaries but I still reccomend actually playing the game and reading the story. I will be completely transparent though even as a day 1 player who really has genuinely enjoyed the story so far, I actually stopped playing story chapters consistantly past chapter 12, chapter 13 is an incredibly long chapter where as previously mentioned is where the story starts to come together but, I have played some chapter where in which characters I like are mainly showcased in, like chapters 14, 15, 16, 17, and the latest chapter 27. I am planning on going back and actually completing and reading the other chapter but again there is a lot to go through once you have gotten past the 8 chapter introduction.
Game is just not healthy for new players who wants to join now. As a day 1 player who's still playing right now , I can still say most of the new people this days leaves cuz 2-3 op units can't save from all contents cuz the game mainly needs 5 fully built teams
Isn't that true for literally all gacha though? In fact I highly disagree on the first part cause the primary grind for premium currency which is PPC and Warzone only requires participation. No more no less. It's difficult to build a meta team yes, but it's incredibly easy to build a non-meta elemental team of A ranks due to how PGR's gacha work and how generous the devs are. The best time to start a live service game is literally any time especially a gacha with not that much fomo. New players even have the incentive to skip the non-meta units and pull directly for meta units. For instance, I started way back and have an invested Lucia Plume with Sig. I used a lot of resources for her but in just a few days, she'll be powercrept after 3 years. So a new player only needs to invest on the new gen 2 meta.
As a psuedo-new player(day1 player that stopped during garnet's patch & returned with fresh new account 3weeks ago) Currently only have crimson weave, camu and rosetta built and they can fully clear pain cage(camu & rosetta each solo diff3-4 then crimson weave speedblitz diff5) & elite warzone(carried by crimson weave & now lamia since 3 days ago) The other events like cappricio's, the simulacrum submersion and others all have decently built trail characters to use(heck, cause of how op the gen 2 frames r, even trail versions can easily complete the event as long as u know how to actually use their kit)
Don’t agree, I mean the people that are leaving it’s just because of the game difficulty after all, plus you can eventually get the characters, until then just use A units
i just don't like combining orb on PC/controller. this system is clearly design for touchscreen for you to tapping the orb directly not memorize it incoperate with buttons on controller
I put some of the orbs buttons on 2 of my mouse buttons and another on the scroll mouse button as well as another one on leftAlt so it does take a bit more practice but imo you end up gaming just as fine eventually Personally I just think pc gaming is much more immersive and more hype
I played this game for a while and i tell you it's unplayable and i'm not blindly hating but hear me out 1- the stamina system Everything you do in this game requires stamina, even the story therefore you can't just play as much as you want you are limited by the amount of stamina you have and no they don't give out enough 2- the problem with the story is that it's difficulty rises up pretty fast and it requires you to have a fully upgraded team to play so each day you have to make a choice between spending stamina to play the story or farming to make your characters powerful enough to play the game 3- The story in the beginning is very, very boring and mind numbing, and it only gets good much later but since you don't have the ability to just fly through the story since you need stamina and you need to upgrade your character and you can't do both at the same time it means you're stuck with bad parts of the story for weeks and it also varies on how much you play the game daily which could take up months to get to the good parts if you're a casual player All that will make you drop the game in the first week since it's also very overwhelming and too much grindy But if you really are able to push past all of this, then in the end the game is actually good
The Story is extremely slow and skims through a lot. It skips MC introduction and your starting team introduction don't expect any back story. (why are they your friends how and why you became a Commandant). Combat system is the most annoying. Having to click orbs was fun at the start but get annoying really quick. Why complicated things when you can have a simple button to just click with a cooldown. Doesn't require skill just adds clutter to the screen. Character model are plain and robotic which goes with the theme of the world (boring). Even though they are bots don't expect to see 2b Nier models. As well as having the same Character model reused same face and name but with a different element. UI is the worst ever for menu, banner, Character Gear. A lot isn't explain in game. it is not beginner friendly, you must do your research first online. The animation are nice not the "best" and so are the cutscene they are chef kiss very very nice. Yet i wouldn't recommend, it unless you have extra time to add it to your roster of Gacha games and can drop it at anytime. To be replace it with another more recent, complete and more "plot" gacha game. All in All its a meh game good for when your waiting for a update on your main Gacha game's. Hope this helps.
unfortunately, the game has minimal number of male characters and generally less character designs because of reusing same character over and over again. I lost interest after a shortwhile and stopped playing it.

Honestly that made even more easier to understand for me at lvl80+💀but you should try it, also gray raven website and spider 2b is the go to for the guide. There are some other TH-camrs out there create good guides too
@@sagansagan5395What's weirder is this comment is on youtube which has tons of new player guides...
I just downloaded on mobie
bro you forgot lamia also sice she also has 2 ults
2024 will end in a month lol
Important not, Transcendents or as they are called now, Uns, are useless from a meta perspective, they are weak and have 20%/40% damage penalty when mixes with regular construct, so don't waste your precious black cards on them.
if you need an instructor hit me up in about a week
Took a quick look after watching this and that is one janky pc port. Ill give it another go before deciding to keep playing or not.
Press Y to switch to normal mode, rebind orb keys to something like zxcv
"is it worth starting in 2024"
*Look at the date*
hum... seem a bit late for that x)
As a psuedo-new player(day1 player that stopped during garnet's patch & returned with fresh new account 3weeks ago)
Currently only have crimson weave, camu and rosetta built and they can fully clear pain cage(camu & rosetta each solo diff3-4 then crimson weave speedblitz diff5) & elite warzone(carried by crimson weave & now lamia since 3 days ago)
The other events like cappricio's, the simulacrum submersion and others all have decently built trail characters to use(heck, cause of how op the gen 2 frames r, even trail versions can easily complete the event as long as u know how to actually use their kit)
Void Luna will save the game! >_
Don’t agree, I mean the people that are leaving it’s just because of the game difficulty after all, plus you can eventually get the characters, until then just use A units
Ah thanks for the input, I was afraid it might be too far ahead, especially being competitive and stuff.
PGR isn't available in my country ( India ) 😢
Download PC client on a potato laptop. I'm also from India i run it on 2018 office laptop.
VPN doesn't help?
@@kyotheman69 it does but VPN is a hassle which u should only ontake when u don't have a laptop.
I am playing this in India my guy, on my laptop that is.
Use VPN, I also play it like that
i just don't like combining orb on PC/controller.
this system is clearly design for touchscreen for you to tapping the orb directly not memorize it incoperate with buttons on controller
I put some of the orbs buttons on 2 of my mouse buttons and another on the scroll mouse button as well as another one on leftAlt so it does take a bit more practice but imo you end up gaming just as fine eventually
Personally I just think pc gaming is much more immersive and more hype
I played this game for a while and i tell you it's unplayable and i'm not blindly hating but hear me out
1- the stamina system
Everything you do in this game requires stamina, even the story therefore you can't just play as much as you want you are limited by the amount of stamina you have and no they don't give out enough
2- the problem with the story is that it's difficulty rises up pretty fast and it requires you to have a fully upgraded team to play so each day you have to make a choice between spending stamina to play the story or farming to make your characters powerful enough to play the game
3- The story in the beginning is very, very boring and mind numbing, and it only gets good much later but since you don't have the ability to just fly through the story since you need stamina and you need to upgrade your character and you can't do both at the same time it means you're stuck with bad parts of the story for weeks and it also varies on how much you play the game daily which could take up months to get to the good parts if you're a casual player
All that will make you drop the game in the first week since it's also very overwhelming and too much grindy
But if you really are able to push past all of this, then in the end the game is actually good
The Story is extremely slow and skims through a lot.
