Why are the Ferraris ECU update not allowing people to upgrade the exhaust? That’s what I’ve been hearing.

What are you talking about? Ferrari does not have any kind of ECU update for the SF90.
Of course Ferrari does not offer any kind of ECU modification which would allow you to delete the emission systems. There a no other manufactures that offer this either.
If you go elsewhere and get your ECU modified, you void the engine warranty. That also goes with every other brand of car.
You can do all the same things to this that you could do to the previous models, and from a warranty standpoint it is as it always has been. Mod the ECU and your engine warranty is gone, and probably your DCT warranty as well.

That's such a silly statement. How can it look like a car it precedes?
We can't be stuck in the past, I say this as a former 488 owner. When I park my SF90 next to a 488 or F8, the SF90 looks modern and very, very good.
Also, I will say that I think the F8 design is way better than the 488. It is cleaned up and have gotten some of the important elements from the Pista.
That's just evolution for you.
