  • I purchased this 4-carriage S7/8 set last August when my wife and I visited the UK and it has been packed away. I later added the 5th carriage off eBay. Set is DCC ready so I’ll have to drop a decoder in it for a more enhanced experience.
Don’t have a layout at home so cleared out the dining room, set up the three 36” x 80” hollow core doors that I used for my Christmas layout and ran a few laps on a Kato Unitrack 63” x 102” oval with some other London themed merchandise around it that I also bought across the pond.
I do need to obtain in OO gauge some of the various British regional passenger rail stock (South Western Railway, etc.) that I rode/saw on my trip.
For my fellow aviation enthusiasts, you’ll see in the background “forced perspective” LOL a British Airways Super VC10 from my 1/100 scale custom made airliner collection. The VC10 is sporting the Negus livery that British Airways used from 1974-1985 and what I remember seeing in my early teen years at the British Airways terminal at JFK Airport before BA phased them out in 1981.

Awesome running session. Also, would that be able to run on the HO Scale Layout, I am willing to test some stuff out for some fast passenger trains!

Although OO (1:76) and HO (1:87.1) are slightly different in scale size, the trains run on the same gauge size track (16.5 mm) so yes I could run it on the club layout.
But before I could do that, I would first need to get and plug in a DCC decoder, as the club layout is DCC only.
