Walker's mistake is also that he is still talking to the referee as he is returning to his position. But the ref has called the right back into the opposition half for a talk. Could Walker have retreated faster? Yes. But also the referee could have also allowed 2-3 more seconds for him to be in a set defensive position. Both at fault imo.
The problem is far worse. Others are kicking the ball worse. Delaying the game is fair tactics.
It is subjective & emotions. Incompetent and dumb referring cannot be replaced by rules. These referees lack basic common sense.
Kovacic was lnot shown two reds. The explanation was referee didn't want to disturb the game. Same referee.
Even Haaland should've seen red in this game for 2 yellow card offences
@@svraghav3025 Haaland 1 yellow. Also Havertz did the exact same thing as Haaland (barging into an opponent from their kick off) and did not get booked for it. Ruling was fairly consistent on that one.
The kovacic tackles last season were horrendous though, I am amazed he got away with those.
