Same here then I got one with full matching cream leather and I fell in love its only fwd but damn it moves 😂 and I save a fuck tonne on fuel having no quattro system 😂
@@billy_on_2_wheelsHate to break it to you, But I have had a 3.2L Quattro TT with DSG gearbox for 17 years. It averages 29 mpg. The reason is that 3.2 L six is naturally aspirated and puts out a ton of torque at low rpm, and with the DSG gearbox in its normal Drive mode, it automatically selects the lowest gear it can when you are neither accelerating nor decelerating. The DSG TT will shift into 6th gear at 35 mph, because it has the low rev torque to handle it. And with 6 gears to choose from and no turbo to boost fuel consumption I am running low revs at any speed I cruise at.
I bought my 3.2L Quattro DSG in the US, and i found out the hard way that the US made Audi put a governor in them to limit the top speed. When you hit the top speed, the dash readout flashes the speed until you turn the engine off and then on again. Mine topped out at 127 mph. Turned out to be a good thing as I hit that speed while passing a line of 7 cars stuck behind a farm truck on a rural road in a very short stretch that allowed passing. I then immediately topped a rise and saw a 100 degree sharp turn ahead with less than one second of time to brake. That turn was followed by a series of 120 plus degree switchbacks dropping down into a ravine with about a second of braking time between each. I have to say, the car held those turns like a champ… but I likely would have not been so lucky if the car had accelerated all the way to 150. Luckily for me, I had just taken the Audi driving course in which they had drilled brake theory into my head and then had me practice in TTs on a track. This one experience cemented in my mind those lessons. As others have said, Its not the fastest car… but its plenty fast for me. And No RWD can keep up with the Quattro on a twisty turning road.
@@ironkcoony Oh yeah… That chastened me right up. At the time I had only had the car a few months. But I had just taken the Audi performance driving course, and they had exhaustively covered the physics of traction and braking. When I topped that rise I knew I was in trouble, and I remembered the instructor saying, “ The moment you turn the wheel, you take your foot off the brake and you TRUST THE CAR to hold the turn.” Do not add the slightest additional shear force to your tires from the brakes. The combo of the car’s stability control, suspension, and soft rubber tires held that curve at close to 122 mph. I was just lucky as hell there was no scattered gravel or other slippery stuff on the road there. After the first turn I braked for another second and a half and then had to take the next at around 115 or so. Then brake for a second and the next one was at 108 or so, and the last one at around 98. I am sure folks in the cars I had just passed were expecting to see a smoking wreck in the ravine as they topped the rise, and were surprised to see my car climbing the road on the far side of the ravine. I wonder how many of those guys might have gone out and bought a TT after seeing that.
I had a similar TopSpeed in a MK1 225 ( stock ). 227 KMPH at the speedometer. The driver window window pulled out slightly and made huge wind noise, also the engine under shield was pulled down as it wasn't correctly fastened.
Exactly the same here haha. After that the check engine light turned on for 6 times (everytime 1000€+ damage) and in the end i crashed it because the ABS ESP didnt work. Pure crap car with endless problems
@@irgendsoeintyp94 your car seems to have had a bad life or previous owners that didnt look after it. I have mine with almost 200.000km its stage2 and I can reach 240 any day of the week. I do oil changes, filters every 5000 km the car never had any major issues thankfully.
My 2000 TT worked well way past 210k km and still went in the 240ish kmh region, as it's supposed to. Unfortunately a week after an intensive repair (rust, tires, suspension) to get new TÜV, someone took my right of way and crashed.😢

Not the smartest move going that fast on unfamiliar roads. Lesson learned i hope.

Yeah, I love the mk1 TT 225, not quick but will stick like glue around a roundabout 😎
Yes, especially with good tires!
For the price you can get one now i think they're very fast
Nah you're getting your words wrong. It is in fact QUICK, not fast but quick. Different things
Der Audi A4 1.8t mit 150 PS BJ. 2002 meiner ex Freundin lief 220 kmh. Der TT mit 225 PS sollte deutlich mehr als 227 kmh schaffen.
I think this car really becomes another beast when you go with fbo and a tune it becomes what this car should have been from factory.
I have the 3.2L DSG SLine version. It came from the factory perfectly tuned. Better aerodynamics, wonderful exhaust note. 250 hp. And better handling.

Cool material greet from Polish.
Im so curious if you put a stock 225 next to my 180 quattro stage 1 with 223 hp and 340 nm what will happen
tbh, i am pretty sure the 180 stage 1 would smash the 225 haha
My two Audi TT 1.8T 225KM close the counter without any problems 260km/h

r u sure that you aren't running a stage 1 on them ?

I would have expected them to be electronically limited to 250Km/hr.

Officially they only go 242/243kmh, but with a bit of run-up and downhill 260 should be no problem, they aren't limitedI believe.
Einfach insane dieser Typ; aber stabil

just realized my 225 stage 1 is much faster and much more responsive and rpms go higher way faster then this stock one
maybe you are driving with a single mass flywheel ?
