He's an incredible guitarist.
It is August 3rd 2023 and I just saw you perform for the first time about 5 days ago at what fest in Saratoga. Being a Wyoming native myself I was really excited to hear you live. And I must say... In all my years, I have never been so impressed by another guitarist. It was so inspiring to see you bring the thunder. I loved your original songs but no one will ever do this song better than you in my eyes! Thanks for inspiring me to believe in myself and my guitar. I was losing hope and you stoaked a fire my friend....
Love it, first heard this song in around 1972/73 on a planxty album, as a very young boy in Ireland, I listened to that album continously, memorising the songs, playing theatre in my head, can't remember what I did yesterday, still remember all those songs
A most captivating rendition. Mesmerizing!
Fantastic cover of one of my favourite Scottish/Irish folk songs
Rapalje sing that,dutch scottish band
IRISH
Everything that is right with music.. Jalan Crossland.

Breathtakingly brilliant guitar work and wonderfully fresh version a classic folk song!
Best version I've heard of the song, too bad in the whole youtube there is no guitar lesson for it!
You should check the planxty version.
Just teach yourself it’s not hard
Beautiful take on an old classic! Super-excellent guitar!
It IS GOOD, Jalan, it's excellent! What a great version and your guitar playing skills blow my mind! AWESOME!!!!!

WOW! Awesome guitar work and a great rendition of a favourite old folk sone - well done!
my ole friend Jalan is missing his band but hes on tour today with Willie nelsons son. I visited Shaun Hatcher Kelly today at PVH(getting a new knee) Shaun was the Bass Player with Jalan for so many years. It was a joy to laugh with Shaun today about memerories. He reminded me about the hydrogen bomb show.....what a laugh we had. so infectious..Ill be back to visit him tomorrow!
I love this song. You gave it a kick in the ass and made it your own! GREAT JOB! Love your style of picking!
It gave me chills when he started playing the beginning melody.

belly full of beer and rocking my head! this geezer is a cool cookie!
Beautiful guitar work !
what a beautiful song
You are one hell of a guitarist. Cheers. And not too bad on the verse, either. (we don't know where the words actually came from: but we know they were somewhere from the British Isles ) You smashed it! Seriously. Good stuff. I lived in Scotland and played music and sang for a 6 years and this song was a constant. -good on you, man.
it is an IRISH song ¬ the "brittish"Isles
Ireland is a republic NOT part of brittian. Scotland don't want to be part of that colonial imperialist poison either
After 9 Year 🔥🔥🔥

Sings it just like Mike Scott of the waterboys, spectacular picking though.
Brillance.
Is there a tab for this? I would love to learn it
of course dean would ask this!
This kind of guitar playing is not about tabs, it's about techniques you learn and then apply to whatever song you're playing.
Brave to tackle that but great job!!!
oh shit i almost clapped at the end
Rapalje sing that too
What is Wyoming?
It's a fictional land
Hardest song to sing ever

Ain't that a little bit too much? Anyways, for your version it was indeed very good!
