WTF moments are not necessarily bad moments, they're simply moments that REALLY stood out! 😅 And you're right, Finland's Hardrock Halleluja did win! 😁❤️
The 2 Moldova songs (1 with the granny banging the drum and 1 with the hats) were the same band and they are called Zdub zi Zdob and they are back this year fir a third time ....love those guys
There’s a lot of those songs that I really like! Moldova 2005 with the granny on the drum… Portugal 2019 with that green outfit and fascinating song…France’s Sebastien Tellier 2009 with Divine. And Hatari from Iceland 2019. Some songs make an impression with their staging but can also be very good songs.
I really enjoyed watching your reaction to our ESC. Some of the contributions in the contest are very hilarious and crazy at the same time. Memorable for sure! :-D
9:30 Sylvia Night is a tv show character from Iceland. Her actual name is Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir and it was a really popular satire tv-series in Iceland at the time. Europe however didn't know her and didn't get the joke. She's actually a good singer when she's not in the Sylvia Night character as it was like that on purpose here's an example of her singing with Magni th-cam.com/video/VXWDmZ37TAs/w-d-xo.html
@@sannev8407 It is a music contest, but as a Eurovision fan that was following the competition at the time, I also know that it wasn't because it was being judged on the song, they booed her from the start of the song. As I said, it was a act. She acted like a diva the whole time because she was supposed to be in character. The media around Eurovision hated her because of how she talked. It was a inside joke gone wrong because the Eurovision bubble wasn't in on the joke. If you check the video I linked in the comment you just responded to, you might see what I'm saying in her duo with Magni. A famous Icelandic singer from the band "Á móti sól" which means "Against the sun"/"Facing the sun". Yes it was tacky, no it wasn't a good idea but hey it's been a long time since then, at this point it's a nice song to laugh at for humor :D it's not like it's competing anymore.
@@Addy1987 humor can also be done in a good way.. and not only the 'bubble' was not in on the joke, i think almost everyone.. i can enjoy good humour but this was straight up terrible. Romania 2007 or Lithuania 2006, that was humor done well
@@sannaolsson9106 yeah fair enough, still the think the studio version, and san remo were more 'powerful' in some kind of way, also the gorilla could go for me. Staging just didn't come across enough to get the win, 6th is still a good resulg
Cezar's "It's My Life" should've won 2013 (The Romanian vampire) And yeah, the Italian 2017 entry was p. good. But the only winner in this was Lordi (2006(Finland(Hard Rock Hallelujah)))
If I know right Silvia Night is actually an actress. It isn't unusual though that people disliked her brash and annoying performance. Cezar went from normal singing to falsetto in like 4 steps. "Flying the Flag (For You)" contains sexual innuendos and should not be played at airports unless you want to make a fool out of yourself (Do you want something to suck on?) Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with "Hard Rock Hallelujah", smoking runner up Bosnia and Herzegovina by 25 points (292 to 267)
This is what you come to watch Eurovision for. Not the pretty music videos with good editing and auto-tuning. No, the bonkers life show is where it's at, I had the best time laughing with popcorn flying everywhere with my grandma and a lot of "fremdschämen".
Facts, if I don't get this level of crazy, it's a bad Eurovision year, it's as simple as that. If I want basic boring stuff I'll go watch literally any other music show 😂
@@alice45-fgd-456drt That doesn't mean it has to be crappy music tho. Being different and being not-boring doesn't mean you have to be weird, fun and campy, it's also still a quality music competition
With some of these performances.. I really wanna go full Queen of Hearts, We are NOT amused.. "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS" Or have a trap door in the stage with some bottomless pit...
I forget how much truly mad shite there was in 2008! Creme de la crazy is France and Bosnia if anyone in the Balkans can enlighten about what song is about please do. Poor Who See so underated! Poor Conan Osiris so underated! Yeah the Romanian lady of 2019 is awesome! I love the Teapacks! I kinda love everyone except Slyvia Night and Flying the Flag.

How can there be a Eurovision video without Verka Serduchka? A lot of the early songs had to have been inspired by Lordi.
Finland did indeed win with "Hard Rock halleluja"

That space dubstep from Montenegro was fire!
It was referenced in Fire Saga with the Greek lady in the spacesuit.
Balkan really went crazy in one part😂😂😂😂

Probably because eurovision is a music contest and people judged the song based on that

*ready to write 1000 words essays about how each moment happened, what was their backstory etc*
Italy from 2017(the one with the gorilla lol) is actually very good. They were a favorite to win that year, but it didn't.
Yes, my favorite of that year.
It was underwhelming on stage that's why, such a same but it was a strong year

About Bosnia and Herzegovina 2008 the group Laka who performed then are siblings
Sébastien Tellier with Divine(France 2008) is still my favourite troll entry!
C'est tres magnifique vraiment!!! J'adore la armour Francais aussi.
It’s a given song on my Eurovision playlist. I love it.
The Moldovan guys with the hats Zdub Si Zdub are back this year! Ah Bulgaria aimed for high art landed on hellish acid trip!!!
They are? 😱
that aszerbajian thing would maybe worke better that year when Good omens came out.... the mini series...

@@sannaolsson9106 I have read that too. If you annoy the audience before you have even sung your song it's over.
Both moldova entries are the same band , and they are coming back again in 2022
I love the Austrian entry of 2005. I even like Woki Mitt de Poopo! It translates as wiggle your butt as demonstrated on stage.
DJ Bobo - Swizerland 2007... Is a total artist babe to me.
Uno from 2020 jelly legs
