391MG Tech | Pulling the MGB rear axle half shafts

John Twist of University Motors demonstrates removal of the rear axle half shafts from the Tubed type / Salisbury / GT differential. It is easier with a slide hammer. But if you don't own one, you can use two threaded rods to push the half shaft from the axle housing.

After removing the nuts on the bearing retainer & putting the nut back on the half shaft loosely, then bolt brake drum on backwards & hit the drum with a hide hammer & the bearing will come out.

Amazing an you could make your own slide hammer alot cheaper with just some stock an some time but who needs to do that
