To those who noticed my softer approach to this song, I strongly urge you to check out my second rendition of this song coming out tomorrow :) I did indeed intend for this to be a more reserved, emotional take on the song, building up to a powerful ending. I pulled a lot of inspiration from "If I Can't Love Her" for my take this time around. It was definitely a debate I had with myself about whether I should keep the momentum up from the start or wait till the end. I ultimately decided upon a contemplative beginning, leading to cautious resolve in closing

I honestly love this so much. It captures the emotion beautifully, in such a different way then the original does. Whereas the original was a ballad, sung loud to fill the silence left in Belle’s absence, this is... the opposite. Like the Beast wanted to fill that silence but couldn’t bear the idea of erasing her. I don’t know if that makes sense, but the point is that I absolutely love this version.

He decides not to chase after her, as love that isn't shared isn't love at all. He lets her go, knowing that without her he is doomed. That is what it means to be in love. To care about the other person more than you care about yourself.

This is actually really nice. The kind of voice I would have enjoyed more in the film (I appreciate what they did but still I wanted a clean version of the song not ....beast voiced ya know). After having watched the video I honestly have to agree with some of the comments that I have already seen on here. This song needs to be a belting song. Even in the movie amidst all the autotune and filters for his voice the actor doing the beast managed to not only have emotion in the song but also showcase some real power in the parts that required power. I know that you were probably trying for something different Caleb but with this sort of song it would have just been a little more awesome to hear you go full voice and really punch those areas that are punched in the movie. Still enjoyed it and all of your work, just stating my personal little thoughts.
