I've got a medium. Was torn between M and S. Ritchey suggested sizing up and is designed to run a shorter stem. One of the best bikes I own. Running venture max bars. WCS. does make a difference. I like the colour of yours
@@andrewhamilton3486 Thank you! I looked at the Venture Max but was unsure about the 'bio bump'. The Beacon has exceeded my expectations! The degree of flair on paper is ridiculous, but it works very well. The bar position does take a lot of tweaking, but once dialed in they feel great. 👍
@@mueste That's the blue one? Yeah, very versatile bike. I'm currently running mine with Mavic Kyserium's on 25mm Pro One TT tyres, pretty fast and comfy on the road! ✌️
@@creamroller Thank you! It's actually ok climbing, it's not quite as good as my Ti bike with regular length stays! I think that's probably because of the lateral compliance due to their extra length? I also use it on the road on 32 Spesh Roubaix Pro 2bliss, it's no slouch! It's a nice bike to ride on and off road! ✌️
Same. I have a Swiss Cross (which I adore), and am thinking about an Outback for bikepacking and general shenanigans. I'm thinking the Outback is a bit tougher than the Swiss Cross. This is a great video. Thanks @mokotramp.
@@chrisbarany Cheers Chris! Yeah, I think you'll be more than happy with it! I'm currently running mine with 25mm Schwalbe Pro One's, on my carbon 42s. It's such a nice road bike too, I'd say this is as close to a quiver killer as it gets! ✌️
The only thing I don’t like about all these bikes is they always mount the bottle bosses too high on the seat tube. Should be as low as possible for centre of gravity and also fitting in bike bags.
You're absolutely right! Side entry and Fidlock type holders can help, but if you're running a large frame bag, extracting the bottle from the holder can be an issue. It's pretty much the same with the bottom tube! I've mounted a Fidlock bottle holder on the top tube of my Titus, that works quite well! ✌️
@@mokotramp glad you agree! I just don’t understand why they design it like that it makes no sense lol. It’s a nice bike though I have been obsessing with the idea of getting one. Is yours a gloss or Matt finish?
@@KOL630 It's matt. The video doesn't do it any justice, it's a cracking colour in the flesh. It may look glossy in places due to the heli tape. It rides very nicely, those extra long chain stays make it pretty stable at speed off road. Certainly no slouch on the road, too! I'm pretty sure you'll love it, steel feels so good off road! ✌️

Great looking bike! I own the anniversary edition and absolutely adore it ❤ I have size XL, myself being 187 cm

Have you checked out the OTSO Stainless Steel gravel bike?

Great bike!! How does the it ride? Is it slow/sluggish with the long chainstays? I have a Swiss Cross and I'm considering getting an Outback myself!

Love the build. Do you know your saddle hight from bb centre ? I'm between sizes also and can't make up my mind . 🤪
Hey, many thanks!
The saddle height is 745mm from the centre of the BB. ✌️
