- Why is finding a dress for something special SO challenging? It's been ages since I've done anything faaaancy, but I'm really excited to be a finalist for two different awards in September, and knew I wanted to feel fab! Being between sizes and lacking in body confidence right now, it was a journey to find the right thing but we got there in the end. Enjoy! B x

The last dress is gorgeous! You can tell how confident you felt in it as you were dancing around and swishing it which is how I always know! I would say silver shoes/accessories and to tie the silk belt to the back of you xx

The last dress is STUNNING but in my opinion I think simple black heel would be best like the dress be the main item

I loved how true to yourself you were when trying on the dresses as I know sizing is such a sore point for so many girls and women so I loved seeing your view and how chill you were if something didn’t fit. That dress for the first awards is stunning on you. It’s elegant, yet feminine and really flattering. I love the other two on you too. My personal favourite of the two is the shorter dress with the lace overlay. It suits your shape so much. Just shows that the right dress can make you feel amazing. Xxx
Really liked the last dress but I really think that first dress you tried on was perfect . It was the right length had a bit of sparkle and the cut on you was lovely -just go up a size. However you are happier with the last 3 and that’s the most important thing. It’s got to feel right and make you feel fabulous . Enjoy wearing them and good luck for the awards xx
I can understand your struggle Brogan! This is why I don’t really like online shopping as I need to try everything and be 100% sure all the time! But you actually look lovely in all of them

Those final dresses look amazing on you Brogan!! It's so disheartening when things don't fit right so I'm so glad you found them in the end! I think the second one will be great for the awards just being practical that it'll be a bit colder so the extra length will be warm but also fit the time of year 🤭 but they all look great xx

Loved all the dresses and really agreed with the reasoning behind why you liked or disliked them. You looked really pretty in the last 2 and agree with the last one. That was just it👗

When you tried on those last 3 dresses your whole demeanour changed! you looked happy and did the whole swaying with the dress on!
I would choose the second dress based on what the weather is like - but they are all gorgeous!
Would suggest with your first dress finding a shoe colour that off sets the colour like Navy Blue or black - nice and bold!

Love the last 3 dresses, beautiful! The simple green one really suits you, maybe keep it for a garden party or a meal out? You can always jazz it up with a brooch or a sparkly necklace

I hate trying to find cloths for a specific occasion and hate trying cloths on as most of the time they never feel or look right. You have done an amazing job finding 3 lovely dresses and at the end of the day you need to feel good in them x
Wow I love the Monsoon dress you have chosen for the blogosphere awards - the pale green colour is gorgeous and it really suits you. For the other two I like the blue one with long sleeves - so flattering and pretty. But frankly all three of those dresses are just gorgeous and so you! You'll be like Cinderella off to the ball! xxx

The green wrap dress suited you colour wise but I agree with you, it was a little bland. You could have maybe dressed it up with a bag and jewellery but I think you made the right choice!

Love the last dress! I have a very similar body type to you, same size and same "problem" areas (in commas because you're absolutely beautiful and there's nothing wrong with your body). For special occasions and events I always go for vintage style dresses, rather than high street. I would love the opportunity to style you like that. One of my favourite brands is collectif. I’ve not seen any of the dresses yet (just started watching) but it makes me sad to hear you say ‘I don’t have a lot of body confidence’. I have watched your videos for a few years and my body looks a lot like yours! I love you for having the confidence to make videos and post photos of yourself on Instagram when I don’t. I also love your style and have found clothes that I love wearing because of you. Keep it up, you’re amazing!

I am obsessed with monsoon they do so many classy and pretty dresses! My graduation outfit was from there. I also loved hush when I saw their stand in John Lewis.

The last dress is beautiful. If the belt runs all the way round, tie it off to one side with the ends long, where the V meets your waist. It would look good with dusky pink shoes and bag with a slight retro feel.
Have you thought about getting a personal shopper I got one at John Lewis and it was a game changer I'm top heavy and was struggling to get a dress that looked and fitted right for a wedding I tried ordering stuff at home and ended up crying
But the personal shopper changed all that there was no pressure to buy and she knew just by looking at me what would fit and look good

This video was fun to watch. Also loved your attitude of if it doesn't fit get the next size up. Women's sizing is so over the place. We need to learn to ignore the label. I've recently bought the short monsoon dress with the pink flowers for a wedding I'm going to at the weekend and can't wait to wear it 😊

That last dress was gorgeous! The one before too, lovely. Isn’t it amazing how a certain shop can just be the place to go? I feel your pain finding the right one, but worth it. Bournemouth must have been depressing, I haven’t been since before the pandemic.

I also totally feel your frustration finding dresses - I have a wedding coming up and had asos after asos parcel with no luck and started to feel really rubbish about it all then randomly walked into a department store and found the most gorgeous little Mango dress that I feel amazing in.. like you said, always come when you aren't looking for it! I loved that last Phase Eight dress, shame it didn't fit. Probably not right for an awards do, but gave me cruise formal night vibes. The bold Monsoon dress is stunning though, I would have bought that for the price too and I don't even wear dresses, lol.
