Anyone with assetto corsa needs to drive this, one of the best feeling and sounding cars in the game. Even with my crappy g29 wheel
Can I find it on the standard version of the game or do I need a mod?
comes standard with the game. Explains why its so good (its an italian dev studio)@@achilleconte4385
It Is included in the standard version.
There's a mod of this exact version, the '95 with the body widened and slight modifications to the engine.
Yeah! I have 3 different mods, all slightly different. Can't choose :)
Alfa Romeo 155 DTM super TOP!
the best sounding v6 engine!
The ONLY good sounding V6 engine.
But damn if this one didn't make the worst engine layout for sound, pretty decent sounding!
@@barath4545By '95 they had actually switched from the Busso V6 to the PRV V6 for DTM use, so this isn't actually the Alfa V6. A loophole allowed them to do that (PRV was used by Lancia so it was legally in use by the same company) and the 90° V angle of the PRV allowed for a better intake and the larger bore spacing for shorter stroke (good for high revs). Given its lacklustre reputation, the PRV was actually pretty good for racing, still the fastest engine even going down the Mulsanne in LeMans.
Holy moly. I didn't realise how much I needed this in my life.
WHAT memories!Magic DTM Alfa !Amazing Sound And Car!
Honestly wish the current F1 V6s sounded like this.
What a beast!!
And in that livery, it's even better!!
I love how it sounds like a guitar
Sounds so much better than F1 turbo hybrid era
it actually sounds very similar. exact same note, although the alfa's intake and exhaust has more bark and more ferocity, the current F1 cars sound like this but a bit muffled
@@blanchimont5587Exactly. I was gonna say that it sounds like a naturally aspirated V6 F1 car
Considering all the constructors are super car makers now and they are going to be running synth fuels I hope they go back to pure NA sound again! Maybe have a small hybrid system for low end. (perhaps a push to pass also!)
@@tescoshortageOnly problem is the naturally aspirated intake sounds generally make your hairs stand up, but turbo engines often have none of it (unless it has a massive spool... and maybe lots of flutter) haha
My favorite Racecar based on road car ever!!!!! I will cry if I ever get a chance to see this car I sweat GT changed me as a kid
The best saloon car ever and the best sound !!!!!!!
This is the top of DTM!
Fantastic car, sound, livery, everything! ❤
My dream trackday car!
This is how F1 should sound!!!!
I would dig a video of just this onboard footage, great quality
Fantastic car and sound 😍👍💪
This has to be top 5 most amazing enginesounds I've ever heard! How the bleep have I missed this gem?!
The onboard is very fammiliar to the current V6 sounds F1 cars have!
Hats off to those keeping these cars up and runnig. Doubt lot's of spare engine parts go around these days.
The mercedes dtm car from this era also revved to about 12000rpm, that also sounds amazing, but this edges it. amazing sounding car.
I think the Calibra was higher pitched, it seemed to scream more, this has a lot depth to it, more throaty, but alas, it's not an Alfa engine, which is a shame. All the DTM's from this era sounded great though.
@@fuzzy-daddy83 yeah the Mercedes too was higher pitched. They all sounded great! They looked awesome too. But you’re right, this Alfa has a deeper note which for makes it sound overall better :)
in the debut season, (1993) only the 155 engine reached 12,000 rpm, both the Mercedes and the Opel ones reached 10,500 rpm. in fact the Germans delivered around 375/380 horsepower, while the Alfa v6 delivered 420. this allowed the Italians to dominate the 93 championship and raised the bar for the other 2, who were forced to design new engines for the following season . the higher rotation speed made the roar of the Alfas more shrill and howling, therefore with very high tones, while the other two had a darker sound, which was generated at lower peaks and consequently, the tonality was more closed. what we see in the video, is the latest evolution of the DTM project, (1996) indeed, it is no longer DTM but was already an ITC. For this car Alfa Romeo designed a new engine. unlike the old one, the new engine increased the inclination of the pistons, going from 60 to 90 degrees, this allowed for a more linear power delivery and a perfect crankshaft balance, which brought the power output to 500hp. due to the 90 degree inclination, the engine emitted a sound that was less howling and shrill than the old 60 degrees, therefore with slightly darker tones.
@@anels9 I would add that whoever is driving the car in the video is not pushing to its maximum potential, in my opinion he changes gear before the ideal zone. obviously today a historic car and its spare parts do not exist, you have to rebuild the broken part by hand, with very high costs and if the engine breaks, you have to send it to Alfa Romeo to have it redone and the costs are stratospheric. therefore it is understandable if the driver drives much more carefully than usual, let's say. in this video, the car is tested by Davide Cironi, who is not a professional driver, but a car enthusiast who tests historic and modern cars. obviously and very good at driving. in the video he drives an official 96 car that belonged to Giancarlo Fisichella and tells us about his feelings. unfortunately he speaks in Italian, but the video has English subtitles. th-cam.com/video/BMAPcaC4Yx8/w-d-xo.html
I love that version of the two exhaust outlets on the same side, it sounds beautiful ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰
This Alfa Romeo from the DTM and the Honda NSX from the JGTC have the most brutal engine sound, I hope one day Goodwood brings JGTC cars from all seasons.
This care ruled 31 years ago the biggest races in British Touring races and the most infamous and biggest of them all THE MIGHTY DTM!!..What day what a special treat watching those races..Alessandro Nannini and Nicola Larini where monsters on Alfa!..
that engine wow it sings like an opera singer in your ears
Nothing comes close to this ❤🍀
Absolutely best V6 sound ever
when you look up the specs of this thing, it is crazy. A n/a 2.5L v6 making 420 hp! and in a sub 2500 lb car. that is insane and sounds like a recipe for fun plus is sounds incredible. Love the intake noise.
Man,that's a formula 1 car whitout the overcomplicated bateries and the turbo, the sound of the straight gears to
A REAL masterpiece!!
Una MotoGP.... da brividi 🔝💪🏻
Sounds like a "chain saw cutting thru balsa wood" ❤
Lovely sound. But I also love the look of the DTM 155, or any 155 for that matter. Most beautiful racecar ever. Only BMW M1 Procar comes close.
Awesome sounds. WOW.
Driver: Stefan Rupp of RS Racetec Motorsport in Germany. Tourenwagen Legends Champion .
The geometry of the PRV 6 crankcase was simply taken and the engine was designed completely from scratch from that.
The mechanics, however, were inherited from Delta.
As an Alfista I say "give Lancia what Lancia deserves"
As an Alfista with a byline in hydraulic Citroens (many different coloured stains on my garage floor) I'm not sure how much I trust Alfas word in that regard ;-)
Having said that, the old PRV was actually a pretty good platform for racing, to this day the fastest engine down the Mulsanne. Lightweight all-alloy, good intake design, oversquare for high revs... Problem with it is that it was designed before emissions came in hard and that kind of high-rev, high performance engine kinda became pointless after, you were left with an engine that wasn't smooth because of the bank angle, had little torque because of the short stroke and small-ish displacement and made no power because emissions only allowed for mild cams. Also, they never made the V8 that was the reason for the 90° angle. Kinda said, a Pug 504 or Volvo 200 Coupé with a revy factory V8 would have been kinda cool.
My favority Alpha Romeu
That French v6 sounds great!
Stupenda ❤
Awesomeness on wheels.
👌👌👏👏
That sounds incredible!!!
Musica, maestro.
one of the best looking cars ever built. Imagine terrorizing the city with that thing
I would've never guessed that this was a alfa romeo if i was blindfolded
Woah, Sounding like F1 V6 Turbo Hybrid... Grazie, Friendo!
That is a symphony ❤
L'auto più bella di sempre...🖤
I love ALFA ROMEO 155
Auto fantastica con un motore mostruoso! Nel Dtm………….a………Singen grida ancora vendetta!!!
Accelerazione e suono stupendi
At least the Italians put the fuse panel up front, saves time
10/10 for the incredible video! But 8/10 for the 155 because of the black wheels 😧🧐
incredible car
Didn't know this was even possible with a V6 - meaning rpm and sound both
Im edging to the sound right now
Fantastic car
Spettacolo ❤❤❤
Love the sound but the car seems to be automatic. Left-foot braking may help through the longer corners.
It's awd?
Bellissima! ❤
How is it possible to rev 12000 rpm. What is the spec to make this engine go that high?
That induction..
Sorry guys but where was he changing gears?
A bit surprised he's only driving with one foot for brake and gas peddle.
2:21 .......... Enough said!!
🔥🔥🔥
GT7 ‘Legend’ car…available now.
Unfortunately this sounds will disappear. And those masterpieces of cars also. I’m glad to hear, see and feel that dtm cars live @ Norisring. Alessandro Nannini. Nicola larini, a.s.o. Also the legendary Porsche 965. ach. Früher war vieles Besser
No those sounds will not disappear. Like you should know in Germany we have lots of historic steam engines that are still in working order for show casing on special events.
How can you believe those cars will die? There will be enthusiasts still maintaining and driving these beauties on the track for many generations of course 😉
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Great!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Super
Rookie driving style....
Eargasm
😍😍😍
The Lancia Delta turbo at the end of video sounded like farting pig compared to this symphony 🙂
👏🔥
Ah Yes, the Alfa that won without using an Alfa Engine.
PRV V6.
4WD on this one?
sounds kinda like the current f1 V6 but better
There is a reason why Alfa was Alfa. "Cuore italiano"...
Back when DTM was real .
🤤
Double spark.
Interesting that this driver does not left foot brake.
Orgasmico
hot
Half of the sound is coming from the transmission.
It sounds great. However, in GT7 you can hear a very terrible sound. Why?
This is the reason why I love the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI. That engine sound is so glorious. Music to our ears!
