I remember reaching all the way to the lion man, never managed to finish the game after that. Glad to see this playthrough and see the end of this game.
In my childhood that game was about Wesley Snipes punching bandits in the Robocop's city. At least we and my friend thought that was about. I mean, It looked like this on black/white old TV. Good game.
"Tough you are! I wished to have you for my lab to experiment!" 😄 You got to love bad 90s Arcade translations! They truly are the cherry on the cake that makes these games so much more entertaining!
It's not as good as Captain America "Don T Disturb Us" "Why should it go well?" bank robber interaction. Or "You cannot escape!" "YOU will be the one escaping!"
10:29 I remember that there was a trick in this part, get on the slope, with a stick in your hand, bend down and let the character slide down the slope while with the stick you were hitting continuously, the character, if the trick went well, went down a little more than it should, and half would be hidden in the lower limit of the screen, but you could hit the enemies and they couldn't hit you... But it had to be in the 2-player mode.
I splashed so much cash into the arcade back-in-the-day. I thought this was the coolest game ever... then Streets of Rage dropped on console... and i've never looked back, until Now. Nostalgic memories.
Even as a kid I thought this was the dumbest, most generic action game possible and yet I still couldn't stop playing it. I think the reason was because it came out in 91 but it felt like a throwback to crappy 80s post-apocalyptic action flicks. I kind of loved the fact that Japan always seemed to be about a decade behind the States in terms of cultural phenomenons.
Even though Japan was behind, their ridiculous twists on American culture are always awesome! I think Konami's Violent Storm may be the greatest example of this! Absolutely hilarious but awesome game.
Holy shit, the player character does move really slowly. In the Megadrive version they did increase the movement speed just enough to be not tedious while still keeping the deliberate pace.

I remember this as Two Crude? I definitely loved the character designs. Well worth all the quarters I plunked into the game when I was young :D
Yep, was also known as Two Crude, or Two Crude Dudes. Crude Buster is the original Japan release 🙂
“Suggestions for our gang’s name?”
“How about… Big Valley?”
“Johnson. You’re a genius.”
An excellent game, i remember playing often when i was younger. I like the cyber punk ambient and the scene of the cola's machine 😁😁
Loved this game, had so much character.

Classic line!

It is not a good game. At all.
Ever played Streets of Rage 2?
Jugue ese arcade cuando era niño pero nunca recorde como se llamaba hasta hoy

@@shimsham6 That is the quintessential 16-bit era Data East!
At least the antagonist didn't tell the player(s) to get some hot bullets of shotgun to die.
what a day
So nostalgic!! (°-°) I wish it had a multiplayer version nowadays
I love the graffiti that reads "BANANA".
There's another piece that looks like "Choose deth or disgloti" - I'd love to know what it's supposed to say 😃
this game is hilarious 😂
Yes, the futuristic time of 2010 … just 7 more years to fit the timeline.

2010 was a futuristic date ….
I love arcade and Sega Genesis.
You NEVER forget something like a psychotic Santa Claus throwing needles out of his sack
I didn't know there was an arcade version. The Sega version improved the game in some areas.
Escape from New York but if the action levels were turned up to 10k

It's probably the funky ass beats😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I felt the same but I loved it 😂

A cool game with some great pixel art

New York needs these guys right now

This game has a “Lisa” vibe; Bizarre characters, post apocaliptic kinda theme, similar landscape
Like to see a classic collection with game! Next best to Final Fight!
