This city doesn't need any movie like Padmaavat to become famous. It has been home to some of the best kings India has ever had e.g. Rana Kumbha, Rana Sanga and Maharana Pratap.
First of all this is not the city of rajwadas ........ Its the city of lakes......... Also Padmawaat has nothing to do with this city it is the history of chittorgarh........ Also this city was way famous before the british rule so please clear your thoughts before stating something wrong......even elizabeth was jealous of the city's looks so she dropped sone seaweed seeds in the lakes which never ends growing............. But the current Maharna of this palace (Arvind Singh) had to do something with the controversy created on the movie and people came to know more about History of Mewars just after the movie so Udaipur has become famous after the movie.

i love Udaipur so much! We stayed at the Oberoi Udaivillas. It was the best hotel in have ever stayed in. I have been to 21 countries and counting and this hotel tops them all!!
I agree! Udaipur is so beautiful!! Sitting in front of the lake is absolutely surreal! I haven’t stayed in Oberoi’s but is certainly on my hit list! It is a gorgeous property and wonderful staff

Yess there is space for autos and two wheeler to go inside the property. At the time when we went (feb) it was not very hot, so we didn’t feel the temperature issue. And yes they have parking too.

Hey! You can call them up and arrange for a lake tour on a private boat as well as a property tour, they have some packages, we called them and booked like this only 🙂

I think they charge a fee for reservation, around 1000. the private boat tour is included in this. best to call them up and ask :)

the place we stayed in was around 6000 per night, prices fluctuate, so better to check on trip adviser types apps
