This is very interesting to watch. I’m a one planner kind of girl. And for the first time in at least 12 years, I’m straying from my EC. We will see if I enjoy it. I went with Clever Fox pro so that I could horizontal plan (very important to me), budget, and goal plan all in one. I might incorporate a separate gratitude journal though. Thanks for the video.
Hi:) One planner is great! I used one planner for many years;) And that is a big change from EC to clever fox! I hope it works for you- enjoy the change;) Happy Holidays;)
I use a Blue Sky horizontal and divide each day into 4 columns-calendar, contact, tasks, home. I have been so happy in this $12 planner. I am venturing out in 2024 to a plum paper “grid” so that I can divide home into space for each member of household bc I was missing non work events/deadlines and it felt chaotic. I am worried I’ll head back to the blue sky by March. No washy, no markers, no color please! Only pencil. People plan in such different ways, it’s fascinating.
I love this! Functional planning at it's finest! I am a funacitonal planner at heart- influenced my the planner world for sure...but always come back to just pen and paper too;) Thanks for sharing! It will be interesting to see how the Plum Paper works out:)
Jumped through several planners in 2023 until settling into the 7x9 EC Daily Duo. I’ve never seen myself as a “daily” planner person because it seemed like too much work but my job got busier and it really helped with my self care. I like that the Daily Duo has a blank page each week and month for me to customize. Watching planning videos helped me figure out how to use these open pages more effectively. I also tried out a couple EC Teacher Planners before settling into the 8x10 Softbound.
I absolutely love hearing how you gave yourself time to settle in and watched some videos to get ideas. So smart! And sometimes to end up in the planners or a layout like the daily instead of weekly that we never thought we would be in! Have a wonderful Holiday season and thank you for watching and taking time to chat and share:)
I love these longer videos! I got cozy on my couch and watched it there with some homemade coffee/cocoa mix. I love seeing different planner people and their stacks for '24. It is so fun to get a peek in to what others are doing in their planners to maybe even get inspiration on how to use my own. I did realize, with the way I set up my petite folio I am able to see my month and week at once, too. I may have to take one book out to do it but it's not a huge deal and I will probably have it out while decorating that week anyway. Hoping you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful 2024!
Hey Susanne:) I am so glad you enjoyed this video:) I loved hearing what you were enjoying while watching! I enjoy seeing how others use their planners too and get inspiration also:) Happy Holidays to you too!
I get nostalgic looking at old planners too! There are many planner brands I adore and miss sometimes, but I always like to try new too! I can see why you use so many! lol I’m using a Laurel Denise Horizontal, Ashley Shelley Monthly, Sprouted Monthly, Chthonic Co Wellness Journal, Designs by Randa Co Planning Notepads, and Loveall Design Co Journal and wall calendar.
Your deep dives into your personal planning videos are always some of my favorites! This year I am using an erin condren daily duo for my everyday planner/work- I think when this book is finished in june I'm going to try out the sheplans dailies, makselife vertical for goals and gratitude, Ashley Shelley monthly (x2) for editorial planning and budgeting, the novel companion from little inklings design for a reading journal, and an a5 common planner notebook for journaling! I want to be a single planner girl but I need everything to be separate or my brain starts to hurt.
Hi Chloe;) I loved hearing your stack and how you use each one:) What a great line up that will serve you and bless you well in 2024:) I want to be a single planner girl too...lol! But at this season of life and with this great little job I get to do...I doubt that will ever happen! Happy Holidays friend;)
This is the first time I am straying from EC monthly. I am trying plum paper this year for the first time! As always I have the Ashley Shelley for calorie and workout tracking! I am really excited for my Plum paper neutral. Great Video. It’s always fun to see what you’re doing and the rationale.
Hi Ruth:) Plum Paper Neutral is such a great new option! I can't wait until I get to review one of those. I hope you enjoy it and it serves you well:) And I love hearing what you use your Ashley Shelly for too. Merry Christmas to you and your family. xxx
Thank you for all the amazing content. I gave up on paper planners for 2023 but I miss it. I’ve been searching for a new one and your channel is a real help. I think I have it narrowed down to three lol. So many good choices out there.
Thanks for sharing part of your lives with others throughout our world via You Tube and Social Media. You are a beautiful family and very inspiring and entertaining! Thank you! I found You Tube and your wonderful channel a few years ago. It is like chatting with a great, precious friend. Thank you! What you share has helped me over come my anxiety. I love watching your channel when I might be feeling a little overwhelmed from having anxiety about different things, needing some mama time, doing household chores, cooking for our precious family of four and needing recipe and meal inspiration and or just wanting to relax a little. I look forward to seeing what God has for your channel in 2024. Much love, prayers and God Bless for CHRISTmas and the New Year from our family to yours from Australia. xxx
Aw, Belinda:) Thank you so much for sharing those kind words with me. I am so happy that my videos have brought you joy and good distraction as you do household chores and meals. Merry Christmas to you and your family also. sending hugs and blessings xxx
Oh, that's good information about LD monthly spread and weekly pages. I have my first LD for 2024 and having that knowledge in advance will prevent me from having some issues.
I love the monday start on both monthly and weekly. It makes sense for the weekend to be together. My weeks end on sunday and start on Monday. I love how she designed that piece.
I think I'm going to go back to basics this year and pick up a planner at Target. It's been 3 or 4 years of buying expensive planners that I stop using, because they aren't for me. I also bought my mom an Erin Condren planner as an early birthday gift, so I need to reign in my budget somewhere. I haven't thrown away any of those planners, though. I repurpose them for meal planning, brain dumps, daily lists, or planning schedules so they look pretty in other planners 😂
I love that you re-purpose those planners;) and what a generous gift for you Mom:) There are so many choices at Target, staples, wal-mart, barnes & noble. I hope you find one that will work well for you:) Happy Holidays!
I caved. I used one of your links to myself a softbound Erin Condren planner. ❤ Sometimes I want to save, sometimes I want to invest in myself. Happy Planning and Happy New Year to you and your family! 🎉
I just ordered from Laurel Denise, and I can't wait to get the planner all set up. I will be using it for my social media marketing business. It is perfect.
Loved this Amanda! 🥰 and I always appreciate when you say you need to see monthly, weekly, and daily list separately-makes me feel not weird 😂. This year I’m using a Nolty Listy, Sterling Ink, and EC hardbound as the big desk monthly view. And an a6 Hon for wellness. 😅I keep my budget in an EC spiral notebook and have several journals-some are just continuing. Thank you for another awesome video!❤
Hey Wendy;) Thanks for sharing what you are going to use for the year:) I always enjoy seeing your real life functional planning and journaling. I love how the simple Nolty Listy is on your list- that isn't mentioned much in the planner world at all:) Merry Christmas!
For the LD, I actually like that the monthly starts on the same day as the weekly. I am now a Monday start person!! Also, one thing I do on the days that I don’t want to see on the begin/end of the monthly is to add stickers to cover them!
hey Kim:) I understand liking the weekend together...I think it's about just using that one. And the problem is I love my Ashely Shelly monthly notebook planner too much to give it up...and that is only a sunday start option. So going back and forth is hard for my brain too. But I love your idea about the stickers for those boxes or washi! I need to do that:) Thank you!
Ms. Denise is young, and I am OLD - in the 80's and 90's your monthly calendar was SUNDAY start and weekly calendar MONDAY - no other choices back then! (There may have been Japanese planners with Monday starts on both back then but WE didn't know it! LOL) I was happy/sad for you and Pierce with him going off to college so soon after getting back. My girlie is FOCUSED on grad school - I was trying to discuss gifts with her the other day for some of the kiddos because she loves doing the toys and she said, "MOM. I don't have time for that right now - I have transfections to do (she's in Microbiology), I'll talk with you about it on December 15th" the day the semester ends. As Always, Amanda, THANK YOU for these videos - I enjoy them so much! PS - I didn't get the HON - I have an undated A5 Common Planner that will do just fine for memory keeping. I DID get a bound EC, but I mistakenly got the hourly pages inside and can't exchange it because I personalized it 🙃so I think what I may do is the Mary Engelbreit thing you did and just ignore the lines. I also got a Planner Perfect that I think I may use for morning pages or something like that or vice versa with that bound EC. I'm debating the PP sub box. Her stuff is GORGEOUS. Lastly, my EDC the Jibun (Ja-boon) Techo.
Hello Cie:) LOL to being older;) I feel you on that too. That was how all our calendars and planners were growing up. And it is so hard as our kiddos grow up! I hope you get some quality time with your daughter this Christmas. we have to treasure what we can get. xxx The mary Engelbriet pictures in your EC sound like a great way to make that work. Planner Perfect is so beautiful..and I know many stop and start the sub box if they need to;) The Jibun is a great EDC work horse;) As always thank you for chatting and Merry Christmas:)
I downgraded my Planner Perfect to just a planner book. I'm planning to reuse accessories from the last three years. I have ordered an ASHLEY SHELLY for my office use. For the first time, I ordered a LAUREL DENISE for my work desk. I've ordered two ECs: one monthly (which I'll use for meetings and notes) and an EC Life Planner A5 (I just can't imagine going through life without EC's Life Planner). This year, I've also ordered two Hobonichis: one weekly (to carry in my bag for recording appointments) and one Hobonichi A6 for journaling. Additionally, I've started using MäksēLife for goal setting (I'm so in love with this method).
Hello:) Thank you for taking time to share your line up! I loved hearing about how you use each planner;) You have such great planners to serve you and bless you in 2024;) Happy Holidays!
I have a Passionate Penny Pincher home planner and Daily Grind Planner. I will probably break down and buy an EC weekly vertical by Feb. I am going to try to reuse last years Powersheets as I didn't keep up with it last year.
I had to laugh at the breakdown by February line:) LOL! We can all relate to that;) thanks for watching and sharing your stack! I haven't reviewed either of those yet...and I need to:)
You are able to make your own "pop-in" pages in practically any planner - TH-cam has many examples of how to do it - from HP punches to WeRMemoryKeeper punches to even single hole punches. I have been doing this for years - laminate checklists, punch, and pop them your planner. Question: how do you keep track of your cleaning schedules - combined with others or one just for home?
Thank you for sharing those creative solutions on pop in pages;) I don't keep a cleaning schedule right now ( *gasp* from all the planner peeps ;) I have done a super simple checklist in the past. Thanks for watching and happy holidays!
