      Sure! I actually wrote a Quora response for someone last month on this topic. Here's the list that I came up with:
      - American Express Platinum
      - American Express Platinum (business)
      - American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Luxury Card
      - Bank of America Premium Rewards
      - Capital One Venture Rewards
      - Chase Sapphire Reserve
      - Chase IHG Rewards Club Premier
      - Chase United Explorer
      - Citi / AAdvantage Aviator Silver
      - Citi / AAdvantage Executive
      - Citi Prestige
      - City National Bank Crystal
      - SunTrust Travel Rewards World Elite Mastercard
      - US Bank Altitude Reserve
      - US Bank FlexPerks Gold American Express

    I had tsa precheck and currently have global entry. The precheck does work for anyone on your ticket purchase. If they buy their own ticket, they don’t get it. When I fly domestically I just buy my friends tickets and they pay me back. Of course you wouldn’t want to do that if you have that sketchy friend who always tries to push the boundaries. “I’m gonna see if I can get this 4 ounce bottle on the plane” me:”you’re on your own bro!” 😂

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I always suspected that this was the case, but could never get an official confirmation on it. Before Fiona got Global Entry/TSA PreCheck, she always seemed to get TSA PreCheck whenever we would travel together.
      I love that you keep your friends in check with your TSA PreCheck status! 😂

    • @dantehernandez3904
      @dantehernandez3904 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can confirm this. I traveled with a friend to Spain, August 2018 and we booked our reservations under his name. I had the TSA pre check on my boarding pass. Curiously though when I traveled by myself to Chicago early this year, I still had the TSA pre check on my boarding pass. Maybe because I used the same airline and my frequent flier number profile is associated with the previous TSA pre check ?

    Hubs and I fell ass backwards into Global Entry. I didn't find out about it until I was literally standing in a block-long line at 7am for my Pre-Check interview. We ended up getting Global Entry shortly after because we had an international trip planned. So we have two Pre-Check numbers. We were told to use the first Pre-Check number until it expires, then use the Pre-Check number with Global Entry. Also, Hubs and I did our Global Entry interview together. We applied separately, then once we got our approvals, we looked for a date that worked for us and scheduled our interviews back to back. They ended up taking us both together, just asking us the same set of questions separately. Our interviewer was actually really nice, and very helpful. Even telling us to look into other countries that allow Americans to sign up for there version of Global Entry, making it easier for us to entry the country. Even though we ended up paying for both Pre-Check and Global Entry, it was worth it to us.

      Had to laugh at this! Went for my interview last week at PHL, had to park in Garage F and walk to A. They make it sound easy on the website, but once you get there, parking is limited with no transportation in that direction. It took 45 minutes to get to the office from the parking space, 10 minutes for the interview, and about 35 minutes to get back to the parking space, even with a hitch on the shuttle for the ride back!

    You can also request to do your interview once you get back into the country. Once you’ve been pre approved, and you go out of the country, once you get back and have been checked by customs, let the person you spoke to in customs know that you want to do your global entry interview and they’ll tell you where to go. The interview took 5 mins.

      BTW I recently applied for a Global Entry and the next available appointment was June 2022. I went online as he recommended to get a sooner appointment. In the comments When trying to reschedule my appointment sooner I put the the reason to get a sooner date was that I was traveling to Mexico City May 2022. They sent me a message with a letter saying I could go for an interview on my way back from traveling internationally prior to my appointment June 2022 at the Global Entry office. In the letter I had my Global Entry number and Instructions on what to bring to the interview, passport and verification of my home address. I was so happy! I hate customs coming back from Mexico or Europe.

    Global Entry cards are in fact able to be used as an ID at airports and are considered REAL ID compliant by the TSA past 2020. Not everybody has REAL ID and some stupidly forget about it and get the regular non federally valid licenses, or are waiting for a renewal. Some states are still working on it. The interview process in Otay Mesa is pretty good despite having an appointment and partially taking public transit at the time to get there. I love the precheck and hope to take an international trip some day to fully take advantage of it.

      My wife and I both have Global Entry. We bought tickets for a domestic flight and added our TSAPrecheck number. We took our adult son with us. He doesn’t have precheck. When we got our tickets at the airport he was included. Maybe when you buy the tickets together they just automatically put it in? I don’t know. I agree, getting Global Entry for a child just doesn’t make sense to me.

      I did my interview at Otay Mesa. Takes forever to get there by Transit lol.

    There are no tricks for getting it.

      I thought the interview tip was useful, but maybe that's just me. Instead of waiting for months to get my interview, I was able to get one the same week since I kept rescheduling with new available time slots.

      Yeah, it’s primarily for US residents arriving back to the US after traveling abroad. Though there are a few countries (e.g., New Zealand) that have dedicated lines for those with Global Entry.

    Where do you apply for the Global Entry Card?? If anyone knows where to apply, please direct me to the site. Thank you.

      It's probably because we're pulling from the same TH-cam Creator Music Library. I try to mix it up, but I usually end up using the same dozen or so songs from the library. 😉
