    After affirming this is your calling, do massive research on the issues that mean the most to you. Secondly, do massive research on your opponent's strengths and weaknesses, (as well as your own strengths and weaknesses) and the issues important to them and why.

      You are in politics unknowingly because the road you move on, schools you attend or take your children to and budgetary figures in your town are all determined by politicians.
      Finally, by you choosing to stay away, you are enabling someone to decide on your behalf.
      Politics is life itself according to Aristotle

      @ it is common in democracies that people are affected by decisions that politicians make. In theory, if they don’t like the decision makers, they can fire them at the ballot box.
