carousel is a great analogy because when you ride a carousel you can never catch up to the horse in front of you because it's a fixed position, no matter how fast the carousel spins its still the same, every horse has the same speed. It depicts the "can never catch up to love" really well

I’m so glad you noticed the sound effects, her stuff is very theatrical, in that the sound affects she uses, especially “K-12”, are very realistic to the context/video/theme, and they’re not traditionally associated with music, which is super fricking cool

this is about a stuck relationship that crybaby feels is going nowhere no matter what they do. kinda crazy because on an actually carousel, even tho the machine is moving around, your technically staying in the same place on the animal, not moving up or going back. that's where the carousel metaphor comes in about the relationship, even tho time is passing, their still in the same spot, or rather he's keeping her in the same spot

Crybaby’s musical structure and composition was practically eradicated with K-12. There’s such a difference. Even though K-12 is AWESOME… it just doesn’t compare to Crybaby
right!!! both are good, but crybaby is just on another level. k-12 sounds a little too soft and laid back for me. some sound effects are really annoying too (especially with the coughing and sneezing in nurse's office). she perfected crybaby because the production is very fitting to the song's themes (for example, cry baby the song where she used a sample of a little girl crying).
