This is the best current lesson channel out there. If I need help with any punk part this is the first place I check. Just for the sake of conversation the boss distortion and the muff are both mid scooped. I ran mine the same way with a rat instead of a tube screamer and a modulation after all them. Switched it up now I'm fuzz, modulation, overdrive, delay. Different pedals different EQ. It's all different ways of doing the same things. Thanks Scott
That's really enlightening, especially for me the overdrive - I'd always ignored it as I assumed it was just like a pre-amp and you'd need a decent tube amp to get a good sound from it. Thanks!
Overdrive gives me an over caffeinated clear wake me the hell up sound. Distortion gives me a that sounds about right feeling. Fuzz…now we’re talking, that’s the feel good way cool rush for me. Start stacking ‘em and put the wah before or after is hours and hours of entertainment. My biggest expense guitar related gear has to be Fuzz, they are my biggest collection of pedals by far. Rumble is a great tune to play around with everything, it was the first song I learned. How bout a lesson on Ace of Spades by Link Wray? It’s got some cool rhythm and solo. Have you done one yet and I can’t find it?
