Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is out now and is promising to be the biggest Nickelodeon crossover video game ever. The original game was a massive disappointment, can the sequel fix all of its issues?

I'm really surprised how much of an improvement this game looks to be over the original. When I first heard about the sequel, I was expecting it to be mostly the same besides more Nicktoons being represented, but this actually looks pretty decent.
Wish the characters were voiced though
Professional critics are probably still gonna give this game average reviews no matter what, but watching this at least makes me respect the devs a bit more as they genuinely wanted to improve instead of just giving up and not even trying, that's the kind of attitude I like to see.
I don't think a game like this will ever truly connect to mainstream reviewers. Speaking from experience, games like this are usually randomly assigned to people without much care. Most reviewers probably don't care for nickelodeon and are just comparing it to Mario Kart.
Shame as some games surpass Mario Kart, though this is rare.
So close to a perfect kart racer, if only the characters had voice acting.
There was going to be another racing game called SpongeBob and Nicktoons in Gravjet Racing, in which the roster includes Otis from Barnyard, Bessie from The Mighty B, Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot, Fan Boy and Chum Chum, and Ren and Stimpy. Unfortunately, the game was cancelled due to financial difficulties and only got finished in its beta stage.
I hope Otis, Bessie, Jenny, and Fan-boy and chum-chum appear as DLC in this game.

Well one thing to appreciate about the game upfront is that it has a much better roster than the lackluster first one .

I love this game! I never played the first one, but it’s so great to have an actually enjoyable racing game about the NickToons!
This looks more fun that the original. The developers improved *BIG* time! I really don't care about the lack of dialogue. I know Team Sonic Racing, CTR: NF and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have the same things, but it could get really annoying to hear characters gabbing on can be annoying at times and especially if there are limited voice files, though that's what most of these games got. I'll bet it will be a nightmare listening to 7 GIRs squealing and screaming throughout the race.
I think this game may get DLC someday. Maybe add DLC of characters and tracks who didn't make the cut like Fairly Odd Parents, The Wild Thornberry's and Jimmy Neutron, but I wouldn't hope for Doug considering that Nick only have rights to air Doug episodes and not make actually merch featuring Doug.

Got my hands on this game for PS4. I'm having a good time with it. Got all of the challenges done and have two cups to go, This game have some of the greatest Nicktoons ever for any age. It may not feature every Nick character, but it features characters from the years ranging from Rugrats to SpongeBob to Danny Phantom to TMNT to Loud House. Really satisfied.

There's always a mute button if you want your precious silent racing.
The level of customization here is super impressive. I was blown away by how addictive and fun it was. With a few patches (voice acting, tightening the drifting mechanics, etc) it could easily compete with some of the big name kart racing games.

The game play is amazing. It became my fav game after Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled. But there is lack of characters like Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner and etc. I also like to see more Spongebob and Loud House characters as a playable character (driver). And I think they should add new updates and new content. But this seriously needs some voice acting. Cause a tv show without voice is nothing.

I really liked to review and I agree with it. I never even bothered to play the first one I was curious on it but it got bad reviews but I definitely enjoyed it this one. For the most part I will say the game was not too challenging like you I did my first Grand Prix on medium and it was too easy so I actually did play through all the other ones on hard which did provide a bit of a challenge and I never usually play games on a hard because I am not quite that skilled. For me the most hard parts in the game was in challenge mode some of the later challenges to unlock the last few characters were fairly tough other than that the game was pretty easy but I really enjoyed it and saying all those different characters from all those different franchises. I don’t know why but I think almost all of the character tomatoes look really good but for whatever reason to me Angelica her face just doesn’t look right I mean Tommy and Chuckie look great but they didn’t model Angelica the best
Fun game but lacks some essential things to make it great. Things such as…
1). Character voices.
2). Memorable tracks.
3). More characters.
4). More battle maps.
How many characters would you want? 30 is not a small roster.
I came for Ren and stayed for Stimpy. Now give me Muddy Mudskipper and that horse that doesn't like it!
Muddy Mudskipper is actually in the game as one of the crew members! If you scroll through the video and keep a careful eye on the top right you'll probably be able to spot me using it.

I am a 90s babies out the Gates I didn't play the first Nickelodeon Kart Racer because I heard very bad reviews no disrespect I'm excited about part 2 I am going to get it today the only downfall is the characters are not talkin I wish they would have fixed it because I heard this for the big complaint in the first game that's the only thing I don't like about the game the characters are not talking 😢😢
The characters not having any dialogue is probably the only negative about the presentation aspects of the game. it doesn't really effect enjoyment too much though.

There isn't any voice work, but considering this is a kart racer it's not really noticed.

This game is way better than Race With Ryan (another nick show) Nicktoons Racing was also an arcade game. RBUK characters should of been in this game right cuz it's also Nick. Is Timmy in the game?
EDIT: Timmy Nor Jimmy are in the game, they may be DLC in the future.
No Timmy Turner is probably the biggest exclusion from the roster. Honestly not sure how Fairly Odd Parents didn't make the cut, considering all of the great possibilities for Cosmo and Wanda to have unique powers as Crew Chiefs.

Hell yeah it is. I listened to the soundtrack of the first game to grab background music for this video and all of the tracks are incredible.

If you thought fast was a nice challenge, insane difficulty is well.... insane! It's much harder, but so much fun. What I like about it is the ai. They rubber band you, but that's not a bad thing in this case. It makes you carefully decide who to have on your crew and master the items. While not as severe as Mario Kart 64, it still provides a fun challenge. I can't wait to find players online!

I can't wait for nickelodeon kart racers 3. The 2nd one was so good. It's too bad it didn't get dlc. I hope gamemill and nickelodeon actually give it dlc this time. There's also a new avatar game coming out in november that got leaked called quest for balance. It's cool that jimmy, jenny, april, garfield, and odie are newcomers in it.

You're review is a lot better then switchups in my opinion there's was a lot more critical though they didn't really dive into the games core mechanics and because of that the review felt more weaker it was less in depth and more wether or not you should buy the game

This is the perfect party game! It covers every era of Nicktoons so no matter what age the members in your group are they'll be able to find characters they're attached to.
@@CartoonReview I do not have much nostalgia for Nickelodeon unfortunately as I didn't really see the channel before 2010, and I'm a 90s kid... I did watch 2 shows from them before it..! Fairly Odd Parents which I liked for a while (until I started overthinking it) as it was on Disney channel here and didn't like SpongeBob as the first episode I saw was when I joined my father for a business trip and one of the men who worked there didn't know I had a GBA so turned it on to keep me entertainined, but it was an episode he karate chopped the patties, as kids in my area recently had died from E.coli from poorly prepared mincemeat it was terrifying... Thinking about it, there was Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, and Franklin on some Saturday mornings on the main channel here in the 90s or was it their rival... Anyway, I found them boring unfortunately (and Helga reminded me too much of my grandmother and Angelica of a cousin) probably because of bad dubs so I didn't get attached to any of them.
But I watched Avatar with my mother last year and it has become one of my favorite American animation series! With Danny Phantom on second and we have yet to see Korra..! Sorry for babbling on, nostalgia is a funny thing isn't it?

The game itself is okay but they need to fix the sound--there's absolutely no excuse for not having voice clips for the characters and having such generic sounding music. The fact that the iconic Double Dare theme isn't blasting on the Double Dare Obstacle Course level is a sin.

I never played the first one. The only reason why I bought this one, is cause my 6 year old daughter loves Jojo. We unlocked her right away, so she’s been enjoying it! I’ve seen backlash about her being in the game, but she’s in for the little kids, while us older people have the nostalgic characters like Arnold and CatDog.
I’ve enjoyed it with her, and it’s insanely more wacky than Mario Kart. It’s simple and good fun, that’s it. Nothing phenomenal, but I enjoy how silly it can be, and I enjoyed unlocking Danny and Jojo. Excellent video bro! Love your channel.

In my opinion, you should have saved this game for the final installment in your Nickelodeon Video Game History series, since you were planning on reviewing the games in release order, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 was the most recent Nickelodeon video game to be released. You didn't even get around to reviewing the original Nickelodeon Kart Racers!
Nah, I'd rather cover new games as soon as they release. As a very small channel this is the best opportunity I have for growth. This video has over 2,000 views in just a couple of day, which is literally 1,000 views better than my next best performing video in the same time frame. If I was to cover this game in chronological order it would be 2 years until I get around to it. I guarantee a Nick Kart Racers 2 review in 2022 isn't getting as much attention as one made on release day.
My Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time video helped me gain like 1,000 subscribers in a couple of weeks and I'm sure my Power Trip video coming tomorrow will see an extra surge of views and subs too.
I love reviewing the games in chronological order because I believe it gives me a unique perspective on the history of the games, but I also want this channel to grow and be successful.

I thought nick kart racers 2 was a pretty good racing game and quite decent too it won’t reach the same level of awesomeness as other racing games like Mario kart sonic and sega all stars racing or crash team racing but it is still a very good and fun enjoyable game to play if your a kart racing game fan or even a fan of Nickelodeon I definitely enjoyed the game and I would recommend giving the game a chance

This may not be the best kart racing game. But I think Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is a good game.
The lack of voice acting drags the game down pretty hard tbh. I'll probably not bother unless it somehow gets it in a patch or something.

Kinda weird to skip on the pretty hefty flaw of the characters lacking voice acting or, really, any banter. Makes playing the game feel far more boring and less fun, as it feels too "static".
The old Nicktoons Racing game, shockingly, had better audio/sound in that sense.
Makes me worried for the upcoming Smash clone too!
It's still a totally fine game tho and clearly above the likes of Garfield Kart(s).

The thing that made my "inner child go wild" was seeing all these different franchises crossover. I used Jojo Siwa as an example of how wild the crossover aspect of this game is. I'm almost 10 years older than her, clearly I didn't grow up watching her. You need to chill out.
