"Alley Cat" is one of my all time favorites, played by many excellent pianists in various genres. It lends itself well to experimentation. I enjoyed your rendition a lot, but I must say I was waiting in anticipation for you to pause, and segway into different bass arrangements and tempo during the piece, as you sometimes do (very effectively) in other tunes. For example your earlier rendition of "Swanee River" is brilliant. You pause and change direction a few times, its magical! Builds anticipation and keeps interest. I still consider Swanee River your best work. You have such an amazing "left hand inventory" and my ears were waiting to hear your "pause and change bass direction" during Alley Cat, married to your colorful right hand meanderings. Thanks as always and keep up the good work!
