      Wow. I hope to make it to Japan sometime. Was this your first time there? I already have so many places I’d like to see there. Do you speak Japanese?

    • @atomixfang
      @atomixfang ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kevinhiggins7838 Yeah it was my first time, I had a JR pass before their crazy price hike, so I managed to visit a lot of the major cities of Honshu. Definitely keep that list in mind. It will come in handy once you get the chance to travel there you will have a blast. As for Japanese I'd say I am between N4-N3. That was enough to be able to move around the train stations, restaurants and hotels, but not enough to start conversations with locals though.

    So many travel programmes just show you sights and hotels. What most don't tell you is the practical issues when buying tickets, reading information boards, etc. This was excellent in showing potential travellers how to get about, well done.

People ask what I'm going to do there and I tell them "Get lost on the subway for two weeks and then come home." 😅 Those Suica cards are something that any tourist really should know about ahead of time.
