Korean is one of our favorite cuisines. One of the downsides of living in the middle of nowhere is that our nearest Korean restaurants are something like a 140-150 mile round trip. So mostly we roll our own. Finding a new recipe is great. As always Joe, thanks so much.
I followed this recipe to the T… this came out amazing.. I got so many compliments.. paired with mango pico de gallo in some tacos.. thank you so much for this recipe..!!
Just pulled the finished product out of the smoker and wow. It's definitely worth making. I did substitute the Gochujang for Sriracha because that's what I had. Putting these on some skewers with veggies on the grill for dinner over rice.
Another awesome recipe from Smokin' Joe! I have a pork belly in the freezer that isn't quite cut right for bacon, but it will make some nice burnt ends.
Darn good looking Korean Style Smoked Pork Belly!!! I know we can't eat these often, but they are so good 🤤😂 Thanks for sharing your recipe on the Korean Bbq sauce, that alone is something you can include in other dishes! Another great video from Smokin' Joe's Pit BBQ! 🍻 👍🏼
I was gifted a Traeger I haven't used yet. I want to try this recipe out when I get some of those pecan pellets as my first pellet grill cook. I'd keep it simple and serve with some steamed rice and charred bok choy. Damn. Excellent result, Joe!
Thank you for sharing this recipe chef! Love your extremely easy to follow instructions as well. Great video quality and audio. I follow you on TikTok as well (Sauce It Up!).
I've only done pork belly burnt ends once and I don't think I got them rendered as they were still relatively fatty. This looks delicious though. That Korean style BBQ sauce looks great too.
when its in the foil pan with the sauce is butter or brown sugar needed like in tradition pork belly burnt ends? i assume not needed since the sauce has sugar in it? thank you tio!!
Smokin' Joe's Korean BBQ Sauce: 1 C soy sauce 1 1/2 C brown sugar (prefer dark) 2 Tblsp minced ginger 12 cloves of minced garlic 2 Tblsp sesame oil 5 Tblsp honey 1 Tblsp black pepper 2 Tblsp gochujang paste Stir to boil. Make slurry: 4 tsp of cornstarch add 2 Tblsp of water. Mix till no clumps and stir into sauce till sauce thickens.
I mean no disrespect but 26 dollars for mostly salt and sugar with a few other ingredients everyone has in their spice rack is ridiculous! It's a rip off. Oh they are notorious alright but, not for good reasons.

Great looking cook! I’m in love with Korean food! I made a video a few weeks ago cooking Korean Brisket tacos but now I want it with this pork belly!
Thanks so much Mike! Me too, I love the Korean flavors. Thanks for watching 👍

I must make this!
It looks KILLER!
I guess I’ll start my diet next week!
Heck yeah Joe this looks fantastic. I love that Korean BBQ sauce on chicen and ribs too. 👍🏼
This sauce on chicken is ridiculous good.
I've only done pork belly burnt ends once and I don't think I got them rendered as they were still relatively fatty. This looks delicious though. That Korean style BBQ sauce looks great too.
Definitely render them a bit more. 👍
Great demos!
Thank you
That looks amazing! 🤤🔥🍻
I'd try it. It's not at the top of my list of things to try but it looks really good....
Try making it in your hotel room🤣
Dang! I didn't eat this good during my tour to Korea...gonna have to try this one! 👀 🥓 🔥
Korean pork was great. Can I make the sauce and refrigerate it for other uses
Try adding the Smokin' Pecan shells to your favorite pellets in the Lone Star Grillz pellet smoker. Works well. Excellent smoke, as well.
Gotta try this now. Damn tgst looks GREAT...
4:20 total cooking time, yep perfectly baked. 8^D Thanks for the tip on buying pork belly, I was buying the big ones.
when its in the foil pan with the sauce is butter or brown sugar needed like in tradition pork belly burnt ends? i assume not needed since the sauce has sugar in it? thank you tio!!
Can you use those pellets on a treager pellet smoker?
Absolutely. You can use them 100% or mix them with your current pellet to get more smoky flavor 👍
Where can I order them from?
Smokin' Joe's Korean BBQ Sauce:
1 C soy sauce
1 1/2 C brown sugar (prefer dark)
2 Tblsp minced ginger
12 cloves of minced garlic
2 Tblsp sesame oil
5 Tblsp honey
1 Tblsp black pepper
2 Tblsp gochujang paste
Stir to boil.
Make slurry: 4 tsp of cornstarch add 2 Tblsp of water. Mix till no clumps and stir into sauce till sauce thickens.
Thanks
, it's 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar. Recipe is in the description. 👍
Thank you for the correction sir.. Love your videos, please keep them coming!
what are the big black pieces in rub?
Red Pepper Flakes. Thanks for watching 👍
Time for some belly
Yes sir
Why did you place them on a separate rack? Any difference?
Space bro, space.
could you do this on a Webber grill ?
Question for ya. Why don't you want one pork belly slab to drip on the other slab in the smoker?
Mainly for appearance. I want things to look nice and clean for my audience. Nothing wrong with it dripping on each other though 👍
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ Kind of thought it was for appearance. Nothing wrong with that either. People eat with their stomach and their eyes lol
🤙🥂
Nice that there's no skin on the PB. Do you have a video where you smoke a PB with the skin on?
Cant be. First on a Joe video!
You said flexable bellies, but why?
Thanks for watching. The flexibility will give you a much more tender belly.
👍👍🤠
why not cut into cubes from the beginning? get some bark all over instead of just 2 sides.
The pork belly stays juicer doing it this way. You can definitely do it the other way too. Both ways work great but I prefer this method. 👍
Faca esta afiada mano. Tá louco.
Was this skin on?
No skin on this pork belly 👍🏼
Were those wipes Clorox? 😂
need some ssamjang to pair with that pork belly, not just gochujang
Thanks for watching 👍
I counted more than 24 shame on u 😂
This incessant desire to put "green" on meat!! If I want a salad, I eat a salad. :)
It's basically a salad.🤣
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ 🤣🤣
So u did 4 hours and 20 minutes. So u didn’t go to a certain temperature? Cause no mention of it.
Nope, just appearance. I never checked the temp. 👍
I mean no disrespect but 26 dollars for mostly salt and sugar with a few other ingredients everyone has in their spice rack is ridiculous! It's a rip off. Oh they are notorious alright but, not for good reasons.
Sweet baby Jesus!! 😋
Hi Joe, Why you couldn't put both pans of pork belly on top? You had plenty of room.
The pizza screen did not fit on the top. Thanks for watching 👍
sweet jesus......
At 7:45. Dam 🥷🏿 I would to
🤣
